Singapore's first successful minimally invasive heart valve surgery for dogs. ๐ฅ
The heart implant was introduced through a catheter via a small opening from the side of the chest.
It was done under the guidance of C-arm fluoroscopy and transoesophageal echocardiogram (TEE).
The patient had Stage D Mitral Valve Disease (end-stage) BEFORE the surgery.
After rapid recovery, the dog went home after staying in hospital for 2 nights. ๐
