Our doggies bark impatiently, eyes wide with excitement. It’s the ONE MEAL they’ve been longing for all day. 🐾 Meat, rice, kibble, canned food—nothing fancy, but to them, it’s everything.
As we place the bowls down, the noise fades, and each bite brings them comfort. It’s not just food—it’s a reminder that they’re cared for, even if just for this moment.
Watching them, I can’t help but wish we could do this forever. I long for them to enjoy their meals without worries, to remain healthy and free from sickness, and to be surrounded by endless blessings. I hope we can continue to fill their days with love, care, and joyful moments.
While we know we’re not god almighty and cannot eliminate all their pain and suffering, we strive to provide the best care possible in our small shelter.

11 August 2024 - The Story of Nano
Nano’s story began with neglect and abandonment. He was left by a couple at a boarding place in Pasir Ris. When they stopped paying the boarding fees, Nano was chained in a corner, forced to live in his own filth. Day after day, he remained there - unseen and unheard.
That was until Mdm Wong, who ran her shelter nearby in Pasir Ris, happened to pass by the boarding place. saw Nano’s miserable condition—isolated, chained, and helpless. Despite her own financial struggles, she couldn’t ignore Nano’s suffering.She dug into her own pocket, paid off the boarding fees, and convinced the owner to release Nano. That was the day Nano became a part of our family.
From the moment he arrived, Nano quickly showed everyone what a sweet soul he was. He was always wagging his tail and greeting everyone with a smile. Nano was never a picky eater; he would happily munch away all his food as if it was the best cuisine in the world. His simple joys were a reminder of the pure-heartedness of dogs, no matter how difficult their pasts may have been.
Nano settled down at Mdm Wong's shelter, where he found love, care, and comfort. Then, one day, Nano’s life took another turn for the better. He found his forever home with his adopter who saw past his age and recognized the wonderful dog he was. In his final years, Nano experienced the warmth of a real home, a love he could never have imagined in his early, dark days.
Mdm Wong’s unwavering dedication and the compassion of Nano’s adopters are reminders of the profound impact we can have on the lives of animals. Yet, many other dogs like Nano remain in our shelter, getting older and often overlooked.
Shelter work is challenging. Resources are always scarce—food, space, medical attention and financial. But Mdm Wong persists because every life matters. Nano’s story is one among many, a reminder of how a little kindness can transform a life.

**Diary Entry: My Thoughts on Bobbi**
Bobbi is always on my mind, both before I arrive at the shelter and long after I leave. I often wonder what his days are like when it’s just him at the shelter—no volunteers, no treats, no one to give him the love he deserves. His eyes always seem a little tired, like he’s been through a lot. And in reality, he has.
Bobbi is one of the younger dogs at our shelter, though he’s already around 8 or 9 years old. He’s a gentle, kind-hearted dog who never reacts aggressively, even when strangers touch him. This makes him a favorite among the volunteers. But his past is marked by pain. He has two deep scars on his back, scars from being burned by someone while he was just trying to find food on the streets. It’s heartbreaking to think about what he went through.
What amazes me about Bobbi is that despite all the pain he’s experienced, he still trusts people. He still loves humans. This makes me love him even more. We often take Bobbi to adoption events, but for some reason, he hasn’t found a home yet. Maybe it’s because of his scars, which might make him seem less appealing to potential adopters. But to us, those scars are just a part of his story, and they don’t take away from being the incredible dog he is.
I have a mixed feeling. I feel conflicted about Bobbi not being adopted - sad that he hasn’t found his forever home but on the other hand, I’m relieved that he’s still with us, safe and loved. I get to see him every week, and that gives me some comfort. But deep down, I know Bobbi deserves more. He deserves a real home, a family who will love him for who he is.
And while I don’t want to deny it, I hope to bring him home with me one day when the time is right. Until then, I’ll keep hoping for the best for him. *Hope that all our dogs has a good ending*

Today was one of those days that stirred up a lot of feelings. Coco was his usual excited self, banging on the gate when the volunteers arrived. Right beside him were Bobbi and Hill Hill, as sweet and calm as ever.
Moments like these really touch my heart. The way these furkids love us, just as we are, is so pure and simple. But it also makes my heart ache, knowing how much they long for—food, care, love, and attention. We do our best, but it’s tough realizing there are limits to what we can provide.
I just hope our shelter can continue being a safe haven for these dogs. I dream of a future where every animal has a safe place out there in this world, free from fear, hunger, and the threat of harm from humans.
Although a shelter can’t provide an adventurous life for the furries, but we are committed to offering the best care to keep them safe and cherished.
I hope more people will discover our little shelter and feel moved to support us, because it’s that support that truly makes a difference in their lives.
