Moon was a much-loved salt and pepper Mini Schnauzer who lived till 16 years old. 🪽🌈 Woof! My name is Moon, or Miss Moon if you prefer to be more formal.

My 2 humans adopted me in June 2011 and I haven't been happier. I love napping near my humans, all types of food and long walks. I currently live with my 3 humans - 2 big ones and 3 not-so-little ones, and I adore them very much.

Did you know that back in the day, Moon was also a therapy dog? We used to take her to Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled (BHID) where she will play the role of a therapy dog to the residents.

She was really good with humans and would allow them to walk, pet and carry her. I remember one incident vividly where one of the residents arched her hind leg backwards at an awkward angle (not on purpose) but she did not even yelp or bark. Thankfully, we were close by and got the resident to release her.

Moon was truly the goodest girl with the patience of a saint.

Hello everybody. This is Moon’s Human. We are saddened to share that Moon passed on peacefully in her sleep this morning, 10 August 2023, at 16 years old.

She has been deteriorating for the past few weeks (losing weight, eating less, zero mobility) so we have been mentally preparing ourselves. We were deliberating whether to make that difficult call to put her down but her other Human (wisely) said that she will go on her own terms.

And she did.

We had an extended family gathering last evening for National Day and everyone got a chance to see her. She left quietly in her sleep which is something we are grateful for. She was the goodest girl right till the end. ❤️

Thank you all for following and loving Moon. We will miss her terribly but am comforted that she’s now pain-free. 🌈

It was my birthday yesterday on 7.7.23 and I turned 16. SIXTEEN! What a milestone. Did you know that I’m 80 years old in human years? That’s pretty darn remarkable. My Humans call me a geriatric aunty - so rude.

I struggle to walk independently but my Humans help me walk twice a day to exercise my (arthritis) limbs. Despite eating a lot, I’m losing muscle mass and weight because ageing sucks.

But I’m still sleeping, pooping and eating well which, according to my awesome vet Dr Kelly at The Gentle Vet, is the most important at this stage of life.

Hi everypawdy! I haven’t updated much as too much has been going on. The Humans moved to a new home so everything smells new.

I can’t really see or hear now, and can only walk with help as I’ve got arthritis. My brain is also not doing too good as I’ve got Canine Cognitive Dysfunction which is akin to dementia in humans.

The weather has been terribly hot so I’m glad I’ve got a new netted bed as I spend a lot of time sleeping these days.

The good news is, I’m still eating, drinking and pooping well. 🐶

Hello everypawdy! I am 15 years old today. I started the day by going for a full grooming and a ‘Magic Rose Spa’ and spent the afternoon napping in preparation for a lil’ family celebration tonight. I heard that there’s a little cake for me. Can’t wait! 🍰🎉
