Facilitated my last soundbath session at The Singing Bowl Gallery this morning. This place holds a lot of happy memories and growth for me during the last 7 years.

I remembered when I resigned from my corporate job as a Management Accountant, I did not know what should I do next. I had no plans at all but the pressure of the job was too much for me to continue so I decided to hand in my resignation letter. This job came unexpectedly through a friend.

And time really flies, my 7 years journey at The Singing Bowl Gallery has come to an end today. I've transited from a person working backend to facilitating Aromatherapy soundbath and to even conducting Energy & Healing Tools workshop. During this period, I had to work through my fear of speaking in front of people during the session and the fear of not good enough when being compared to other facilitators.

What helped me most in overcoming my fear was seeing how my participants were transformed by the healing sound and vibrations of the singing bowls during the sessions which gave me a lot of confidence in the sessions I facilitated.

Just like 7 years ago, I'm leaving this place without a plan and putting all my trust in the Universe. I could feel tinge of sadness and longing for the place, people and bowls interweave with happiness and excitement for what is to come. First thing coming up for me after leaving here is to travel. 2 weeks trip to US and see what comes next... to be continued...

End of year in Singapore is like Winter season where things slow down and weather becomes cooler. Like animals hibernate in Winter, we can learn to slow down our lives during this time.

One of my clients told me rest is a waste of time.

This is a common misconception in Singapore as we live in a fast pace society where everything has to be done immediately. When we use the time to rest, it seems like we are not doing anything productive, however our bodies is doing a lot of work internally which we cannot see.

Rest is very important for our bodies as our bodies use the rest time to heal and rejuvenate.

As the Chinese saying goes “rest is a preparatory step for a longer journey ahead.” So I invite you to join my Aromatherapy Sound Bath where you will experience a blissful session of self love practice and a mediative sound journey. Allow yourself to enjoy a sacred moment of peace and relaxation.

How does working with our chakras help our physical health?

Chakras are often associated with the flow of vital life energy or "prana."

When these energy centers are balanced, it is believed that the body's energy flows more freely, promoting overall well-being.

And each chakra is believed to be connected to a gland in our body.

The energy from each chakra will impact the functions of each gland in the body which affects our health.

For example, the throat chakra is connected to the thyroid gland which regulates metabolism.

And when our throat chakra is imbalanced, it may result in medical issues such as Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism etc.

So, we can work on balancing our throat chakra with some easy to learn techniques on regular basis so as to maintain the chakra at optimal conditions.
