Aquacaping a Crab-itat! 🦀
Aquascaping is not about aquariums only - it is the art of designing all submersed landscapes.
Scaping a crabitat has different considerations compared to scaping an aquarium. We need to factor in the flow of downwards stream, create ‘visible’ hiding spots and plant appropriately to create ‘functional’ greenery (plants to clean the water by absorbing nitrates).

One of our favourite Peninsula Aquascape project! 🏝️
We were called in to ‘revive’ this client’s old tank which suffered from algae issues and poor plant growth.
What we did:
1. Re-scaped it into a Peninsula style (for 270° viewing)
2. Handpicked the types of plants and planted them in positions that would improve all-round waterflow
3. Introduced proper CO2 injection/system
After a few maintenance session, the progress is remarkable! The carpet plants are spreading well and the red rotalas are thriving! 💯
