With great appreciation and gratitude to our customers who trust us with the lives of their felines and the creation of harmony within their cat-human habitats, we developed our expanse of experience and skills in the management of safety and psychological welfare within cat-human habitats, and we will continue to learn and evolve to be

tter serve cats and their humans. What started from a need to find appropriate resources for creating a harmonious environment for our founder Alen and her two cats, has become more than a business. The Cat People is as much a business as we are a mission, an advocate of cat safety and for the harmonious coexistence of cats in a human environment. While we are familiar with the old ways of humans having cats in their homes, modern infrastructure and lifestyles also mean that the old ways need to evolve if we are to maintain an equilibrium of harmony for our cat-human environments. To effectively address the physiological and psychological requirements of felines, we always consider the basic nature of cats and their needs and through research and case studies. This is now even more urgent as our environment and lifestyles evolve at an even faster rate than felines can naturally evolve to safely adapt. They have not evolved quickly enough to appreciate the dangers of climbing in high-rise environments, for living permanently in a confined space, nor for reacting safely to high-speed vehicles. We address these natural tendencies within your environment with consultation and site visits to acquaint ourselves with your furry and not-so-furry family members and the safety and aesthetic requirements of the environment. What's the deal with cats and bowls? 😸 Maybe it's the cozy support that they love, but let's be real—humans can’t help but squeal with delight when we catch our cats curled up so adorably. Who could possibly resist their charm?

Meet Peach and Mango, whose living room just got a serious catification upgrade—complete with not one, but two bowls! Their pawrent has a workroom with glass panels, so we had to get creative. Enter the floor-to-ceiling cat post, a roped bridge, and a suspended platform. Oh, and we even managed to connect it all to the dining area without messing with the aircon. Check out the transformation, and we're thrilled that Peach and Mango are loving their new digs daily.

Their pawrent knows exactly what her cats need and values their safety. After their previous condo's rules denied them a safe balcony, she didn't hesitate to contact us. We're thrilled to have secured their new balcony, giving Ralph and Max a safe outdoor haven.

Understanding cat behavior, we've also provided perches for them to enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents of the outdoors. It's heartwarming to see them using the balcony and the shelves day and night! 😻

Tilly and Penny's pawrents dedicated this special wall for their fur babies! Initially, they planned to integrate it with their existing cat pole, but that collapsed after Penny's enthusiastic jumping. So, we stepped in and added our fabulous cat post tree.

The goal was to create a space where the two kitties could be active, rest, and gaze out of the securely netted window. We also repurposed items from another cat pole that didn't work out, incorporating a basket and a bowl into our design.

Now, this simple wall setup features 4 cozy resting spots, plenty of opportunities for jumping around, and lots of climbing on the cat post tree. On installation night, Penny jumped right in while Tilly observed from the ground. But the next day, Tilly was climbing up too! It warms our hearts to know that this setup will be part of their journey as they grow, both being just one year old.

Over the years, we've observed numerous PawParents grappling with the decision between installing a Cat Safety Net or Invisible Grilles (IG).

Our stance is to provide you with the least worry and ensure peace of mind when leaving your open spaces accessible for your feline friends. What was the primary purpose of Invisible Grilles when they were introduced? Initially, designers aimed to prevent falls or mishaps from high-rise buildings, with their target audience being children. However, as time passed, multiple contractors began using horizontal extenders and introduced 1.5-inch gaps, claiming them to be pet-friendly.

It's crucial to recognize that cats have a free-floating collarbone, allowing them to squeeze through the tightest of spaces. Concerned PawParents have reached out to us to install our Safety Net over existing IG. Now, their pets are completely safe, and the risk or worry of mishaps has been significantly reduced. Behind The Cat People are two ladies – Helene and Alen. We joined forces to offer consultancy services to keep cat safe and help owners and cats improve their relationship. We want to help give cats the best chance for a forever and happy home. Together, we combine more than 40 years experience understanding cat’s mind and behaviour and applying practical solutions to single and multi-cat households. We provide hands on experience as well in the field of home safety, enriching your cat’s home environment thereby expanding your cat’s happiness and mental health. We have been using specialized cat nets and other catification features for more than 10 years. We hope that our cat experience will benefit others and help educate and grow the bond between owners and their cats, dispersing misconceptions about felines.
