Typical signs of hypoglycaemia for exotic animals such as a guinea pig includes lethargy, ataxia, paddling when in lateral recumbency and weight loss. This little one came in for an emergency check up and found to have a very low glucose level. Our team is experienced in venipuncture for exotics therefore a glucose bolus was administered in no time and stabilised for transport to the regular vet for a thorough assessment. Yes, we may not have specialists for exotics in our team but we are experienced in dealing with emergencies for your small furries.

Hollie’s last chemo session!

Hollie came to bainian today and had her potentially last chemotherapy session! Just routine check-ups for now and hopefully no spreads. 🤞🏻 She will need periodic checks of her liver and spleen via ultrasonography to look out for any metastatic changes. Ultrasonography is a very helpful diagnostic tool as it does not usually require the animal to be under sedation or anaesthesia, we just need a little bit of cooperation! 🤗 She blessed us with a lion dance for a Huat year ahead! 🐯😂 #advancedvetcaresg #CNY2022 #chemosurvivor
