Been a busy week helping cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge. To many people, the passing of a pet may not mean much. But to lovers and those whose have meant the world to them, it’s an important chapter which must be handled with the utmost and — in the first place, letting go of your loved one is so tough but they know to do so is to allow them to pass away peacefully and pain free.

Vets do get emotionally attached to their patients.

As Dr Forest said in this article by 8 Days Singapore, “Of course [it’s hard to put down animals you get emotionally attached to]. Some of the hardest are the patients that we see since they were puppies. Every time I have to put down an animal, there’s a sadness also because you know what the owners are going through. I kind of cry with the owners too.”

Buttercup snored so loudly when we gave her GA before her eventual passing through home euthanasia.

Her owner laughed in the midst of her tears when she heard Buttercup’s snores ring throughout the whole house. According to her, everyone in the household snores but Buttercup’s still the champion!

In the final episode of “On the Red Dot 🔴 At the Vets” on - Dr Forest was seen with the and her owner Yvonne.

On one of her visits for weekly joint injection due to hip arthritis, Dr Forest found a worrying lump. It was in the region of the prescapular lymph node. She was worried it could be cancer.

So she did a fine needle aspirate (FNA) to look at the cells under the microscope. Fortunately, the lump was a benign fatty lump called a lipoma.

Not once, had there been a pair of dry eyes when Happy Vet attends to a home euthanasia case.

In Episode 3 of "At the Vets", it was all about dealing with life and death. The very delicate topic was nicely tackled and we are honored for Dr Forest to be featured with Julia's Sushi, a patient for home euthanasia.

Cassie’s owners had called us up for home euthanasia service as they couldn’t handle her aggression. We turned down the case as Cassie was and deserves a - we referred the case to which successfully rehomed Cassie with a new set of owners! Hurray! Another story for Happy Vet!

Rest In Peace Coco. To us, it’s never just another case to add to our count. Never. Each patient is handled in a way best suited for it, and gently, kindly, pain-free. Every.Single.Time.

We’ve been handling more home euthanasia cases than ever before, as our name has gotten out there thanks to the good testimonies from clients. Ironic as it sounds, some have called us the “go-to home euthanasia vet”. We are humbled by your support and encouragement.

JJ passed away peacefully at home, with a on his face which spoke of serenity. This photo speaks for itself.

The owners were relieved that his suffering had ended, and done so in a gentle and humane manner. buddy, run free now!

It takes a heart to be a - because we deal not only with the living, the newborns, the ill, but also the dying, and death.

To balance out the emotions, we also need a compassionate heart ♥️ and we are glad to be able to be there for many of our patients and their furparents during the most difficult moments of their lives.

dear Brown Brown. Was heartbreaking enough as he was suffering from multiple ailments and organ failure. He was eventually put to final rest in the gentlest way we could and with the most dignity possible.

Thank you for the wonderful testimony for our home euthanasia service. We are glad to have provided your family with the much needed comfort during the final chapter.

Tarou and Ichigo passed away peacefully exactly 3 months and 3 days apart. Both suffered from terminal illnesses and were declining fast.

When their loving furparents contacted us, they said they're not keen to hospitalized them and unnaturally prolong their lives. They understood what it meant.

Each time, we did a thorough assessment before deciding if it's indeed best to let them go peacefully and without further pain or trauma. It also really helps that their furparents made sure to contact us well in advance so that they gave themselves sufficient time to prepare their hearts for the inevitable and plan for the process.

We are glad to have been able to see them through these difficult moments. Our deepest 💙 💜

Meet lil Max, who was due for his final - the thing about is that each dose must be administered right on time in order to be valid, following a strict timeline.

So please make sure you keep tabs of your pet’s vaccination due dates. Otherwise they may inevitably have to redo the course from scratch!
