➡️ In dogs, the ear canal is in the shape of the letter L, so the exfoliated epithelium and earwax are sometimes more difficult to remove on their own 🧹.
➡️ In this way, moist and dark environment is created in the ears, which is perfect for the reproduction of microorganisms 🧫.
➡️ These are normally present on the skin of the ear canal, but if they multiply excessively, the balance of the microorganisms on the skin breaks down.
➡️ This is how inflammation develops over time, which is accompanied by pain, red skin, swelling in the ear, stench in the ear 🥴, it can also be the presence of pus or blood.
➡️ Head shaking, tilting of the head to the side or itching can be seen.

What should we pay attention to during the winter months to provide the best possible care for our dog's paws 🐾?

1️⃣ Especially with dogs 🐕 (and also with cats 🐈‍⬛) that transition frequently between the cold and damp outdoor environment and the dry and warm indoor environment, paw pads tend to dry out and crack. It makes sense to apply a paw balm 🧴 before walks to keep them soft and flexible.
