Do you love animals? Are you interested in a side hustle in Dakar? (let's face it, who isn't?)

Dakar Pet Services is looking to build a roster of Pet Sitters for cats and dogs here in the city, to care for pets in their home while owners are out of town. All payments will be made in advance by Orange Money, Wave or in cash, and we will be sure to ask your availability at least 24-48 hours in advance.

Conditions:
You have a clean, safe home, with no open areas where the guest pet can escape (courtyard or balcony). If you have other pets, that they are not aggressive. If your pet(s) do(es) not get along with the guest pet, that you have an extra space (guest room, etc) where you can safely separate the guest pet until their owner returns. We are looking for someone with experience with pets, and who is willing and has time to take dogs out for a walk at least twice per day.

NB: For all services with us, please bear in mind that we ask for an up-to-date vaccination/health booklet, name of veterinarian to contact in Dakar, all medication and food to be provided by the owner, and all payments to be made in advance before travel.

Local Dog Services

Danielle Ciribassi and her husband Ameth Seck live in the Dakar neighborhood of Mermoz, Dakar in Senegal - and are both lifelong animal lovers. In fact, they met rescuing a street dog!

Danielle’s parents are both veterinarians, and she grew up around all sorts of animals at home; cats, dogs, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, fish, and more!

Ameth has spent years volunteering with LPA in Dakar, but has rescued, trained, and raised animals almost his whole life. He has saved and found owners for hundreds of street kittens and puppies, raised exotic birds, fostered monkeys, and more.

We created Dakar Doggy Services to meet a growing demand in Senegal for short-term animal services, by people who know and love animals - which can be difficult to find! We offer home stays at our residence in Mermoz (no kennels! and one dog at a time - yours!), dog walking, dog training, and more. We have connections to the top veterinarians in Dakar, as well as quality pet supplies stores. We can help refer you to any additional services you may need.
