*ZENA UPDATE*

Poor Zena has gotten ulcers. We will begin treatment soon. Hopped on her ba****ck today and just walked her. She gets mad with any pressure on her sides. She enjoyed the brushing and of course she loved the attention.

Zena didn’t buck once yesterday with the new saddle. And she worked great for me when I was on her. I think she’s loving it. Even with the puddles this mare loves to work.

Ms. Zena got a new Fancy Saddle on her today made by her own owner. She did so good. Got the bucks out in the round pen and then even rode her! Not only did I ride her but her owner did as well. Nothing better than to feel that accomplishment.

First time with spurs!

First time Zena has had spurs hit her sides. She did great! Definitely less lazy. Also the first time I’ve been on her without lunging her first.

Finally got the Western Saddle on Ms. Zena! A couple circles of bucking but once she got used to it she was great! A couple more days of this and we can try getting on her with the Saddle on!

This Talented little mare never fails to amaze me. Without freaking out once, she graduated to an English saddle and even went on her first trail ride. Western saddle here we come!
