Hot weather and high temperatures have a great impact on our pets. Dogs and cats, the most common pets, are more sensitive to heat than humans and are exposed to various health risks, so we must take special care to avoid heat stroke.
Here we will give you some tips that can help you.

Intense heat can reduce appetite and the desire to move, but it can also have more serious consequences, such as the dreaded heat stroke.

1. Keep him hydrated:
Leave fresh, clean water available 24 hours a day and periodically check that there is water left in the water bowl and that the water bowl is not in full sun: in this climate it is easier for the water to evaporate or simply heat up and the dog to stop drinking because of that.
You can also place more water bowls at home, especially near where the dog rests. This way, even if the dog does not want to move, it will always have a water bowl nearby. Water is not only important at home: don't forget to take water and a portable water bowl with you when you go for walks, hikes or car trips with your dog.

2. Protect him from the sun:
It is very important that the dog has a cool place to rest, protected from the sun, especially during the hottest hours of the day. This applies whether he lives indoors or just outside.

3. Cut his hair:
It is not about shaving him, but if the dog has long hair, trimming it especially on the belly can be another measure to help him control his temperature. When cutting his hair, it is important to leave approximately 2-3 centimeters of length since the hair partially protects him from heat and sunburn.

4. Do not do physical activities during the hottest times:
It is important to take the dog for a walk during the coolest times and avoid intense exercise.

5. Feed him when it's cooler:
When the dog has less appetite due to the heat, you can feed him during the cooler hours of the day, such as early in the morning or at night.

Vandaag helaas onze MoFas mascotte,Lucky aka Pucker overleden🥲 ze heeft een prachtig leven gehad bij ons. We vonden haar op de dag dat MoFas geopend werd,24 juli 2019.
Ze mocht slechts 5 jaartjes worden. En net voordat tante Mootje komt naar Su,verlaat je ons🥲🥲 we hebben vorige week nog gevideo called…
En ze was hond van onze Zydell.
Nu zijn ze weer reuïnited bij onze lieve Heer🙏🏻 Rust in vrede lieve Puck,geef mama Zydell een lekkere brassa voor ons daar boven🤗 En dans heerlijk op de wolken! Till we meet again lieve Puck❤️

Beste dierenvrienden,

Omdat hun baasjes gaan verhuizen naar het buitenland, zoeken Buster en Oprah een nieuw thuis.
Oprah is een ‘oudje’ van ongeveer 10 jaar. Het is een heel erg makkelijke hond, die weinig aandacht vraagt. Makkelijk in de omgang met andere honden.
Buster is een typisch ‘alfa-hond’; een dominantie, zeer sterke, maar superlieve hond. Niet makkelijk te plaatsen tussen vreemde honden, maar eenmaal gewend: de ultieme hond. Hij is het type ‘grote bek – klein hartje’. Gehoorzaam, beschermend en gevoelig. Het is een kruising Fila Brasileiro en Pittbull. Ongeveer 7 jaar.
De honden zijn altijd gevaccineerd en ontwormd. Oprah heeft een vlooienallergie en krijg 1x per jaar Bravecto.
Beide honden zijn gesteriliseerd.
Wij zijn op zoek naar een echt ‘thuis’ voor de honden, in een omgeving waarin ze vrijheid en voldoende ruimte hebben.
