Potcake Place K-9 Rescue (2025)

Potcake Place is a Providenciales, Turks & Caicos based dog rescue organisation. It was first set up in a home on Providenciales, which has fostered puppies for many years. We are a Non-Profit organisation made up of a group of volunteers who want to help these rescued potcakes. We take pups to the vet, and give them all vaccinations, wormers and other treatments appropriate for their age. There i

s no animal shelter in The Turks and Caicos. We look after these Potcakes in our own homes until a permanent home can be found. Our policy is to house the pets for as long as it takes to find the best home. This is the only alternative we can see to them starving in the bush, being run over, intentionally poisoned, dying of Heartworm/Ehrlichia/Parvo or being euthanized. We socialise the pups with beach trips, and organise dog training where necessary. We meet potential adoptive families for a play session with the pups. If an adoption goes ahead, we take the pup to the vet to arrange a health certificate, book the pup on to the plane, and meet the families at the airport. We also spend time finding volunteers to transport the pup if the family are not visiting the island. Our aim is to increase the chances of finding a place for every Potcake. We hope Potcake Place can grow to involve more foster homes and to continue an adoption programme. Time for another puppy departure roundup catchup with a few more lucky pups finding their furever homes.
Beautiful Fancy from the Parker's Posse 3 quickly won over the hearts of her new pawrents and was still small enough to fly as a cabin pet to her new home in Alabama while brothers Williamson and Parker took advantage of a ride in style with our amazing couriers. Williamson is now living with his new mama in Florida and Parker was reunited with his new pawrents and in now in Mississippi. 4th sibling Cheerio from the Pamela's Pup 1 was scooped up by his new furever family and is now enjoying his new life in Maryland.
Gorgeous Caramel from the Jennings 3 finally found her pawfect match and flew home in comfort with her wonderful courier. She is now living her best life in Ohio.
Deena from the Dani 5 waiting patiently for her furever family to come along and she also flew in style with her pawsome couriers to meet her new hoomans. She is now enjoying her life in Maryland.
Sweet little Tater Tot from the Ashleigh 1 didn't have far to go as she was adopted right here on island and remains a Turks and Caicos girl.
Siblings from the Harrison 3 started off life in Grand Turk before being rescued and flown to us. Tiny little Mino was soon snatched up and flew home to Ontario with his new furever family while brother Pluto wasn't far behind and also flew to Ontario with his new hoomans. Brother Bright hitched a ride with his amazing courier for a little detour before being reunited with his furever family and is now living happily in Massachusetts.

Time for another puppy departure roundup catchup and the cover boy of this post has to be the most handsome boy Charlie from the Claire's Catches 2. He has come such a long way from being rescued from the streets and he sure did scare a few visitors with his fear of people. He turned into the pawfect pup and now lives happily in Connecticut with his new mama after he won over her heart by resting his head on her lap during an unscheduled rest on a bench when he refused to walk more than a few yards from Potcake Place. His equally handsome brother Dennis found his furever home here in Turks and Caicos with his foster pawrents who fell in love with his good looks and charm.
Their siblings Eddie and Bella from the Lucky Lucas 2 also found their furever homes with awesome Eddie flying home with his savior and new mama to live his best life in Washington DC and beautiful Bella hitched a ride in style to New York with her awesome courier before a long road trip home to Missouri with her new pawrents.
Siblings from the Shrub 3 all found their furever homes with Bene finding his new home quickly here in the Turks and Caicos while his brother Enzo waited a little longer so he could fly to the US and he jetted home with his wonderful couriers to Massachusetts to meet his furever family. Sister Remi's patience paid off when she finally met her pawfect pawrents and was reunited with them after being escorted home in style with her amazing couriers. She is now having lots of fun with her family in Virginia.
Miss Birdie from the Courtney 1 turned into a foster fail after she won over the heart of her foster mama and has made Turks and Caicos her home while popular boy Bryn from the Garland 1 was snapped up by his new family and is now a proud Canadian in Ontario. Finally little Miss Pumpkin from the Tashawn 1 found her furever family right here in the Turks and Caicos Islands and continues to enjoy the sun and sand.

This handsome boy Alphie is hoping to find his furever home very soon and could fly to New Jersey on 20th Jan or early February to Florida or New Jersey. He is up to date with his vaccines and microchipped and he loves to socialize the tourists on their walks to the beach. He also loves his cuddles and belly rubs 😍

Happy New Year and after a busy few weeks we can take a short breather for another puppy departure roundup catchup.
Beautiful Miss Heidi from the South Dock 2 finally found her furever home and flew in style with her amazing couriers to meet her new pawrents in Pennsylvania and Pedro from the Ricky's Rouge 1 joined her for the ride and was reunited with his new furever family in New Jersey.
Paulie from the Wishing Fish 1 didn't want to miss out on a private jet courier service so he too joined in on the fun and is now living happily in Virginia and Pearl from the Aquanauts 2 also hopped onto the jet and was reunited with her new pawrents. She is now living the life in Rhode Island. Pearl's sister Coral was just about small enough to fly commercially and was whisked away to California with her new hoomans.
Handsome Russell from the Russell Encore 1 also traveled in style with his wonderful courier and flew to the US to meet his new hooman. He is now having a fun life in Connecticut. Brother and sister from the Russell 3 finally found their furever homes with C**t flying in style with his amazing courier to be reunited with his new pawrents in New Jersey and little sister Rosie hitched a ride with her pawsome couriers to meet her new hoomans and is now living in North Carolina.
Little Jimmy from the Destiny's Child 1 soon found his furever home and flew home to Ontario with his new pawrents and finally lucky Mr Biggles healed wonderfully from the deep cuts in his neck and turned into a foster fail after winning over his foster family's hearts here in the Turks and Caicos 💕

Time for another puppy departure roundup catchup showcasing a few pups who have settled nicely into their new homes since departing our shores.
Beautiful Miss Radish from the Williams 2 litter soon won over her new pawrents but was already too big to fly home with them so she traveled in style with her amazing courier and they were soon reunited. She is living her best life in New Jersey. Brother Spud decided he wanted to remain an island boy and found his furever family right here in Turks and Caicos.
Not so tiny anymore little Mouse from the Wrinkles 2 litter hitched a ride with her pawsome courier once she was old enough to enter the US and was reunited with her new mama in Massachusetts while big sister Razzy/Birdie was snapped up by her new hoomans and is enjoying island life right here. She can often be found greeting visitors at
Piper from the Dani 1 sooner found her furever home and flew home to Ontario with her new pawrents and 4 of her sisters from the Dani 5 who came into our care a few weeks later all found new homes with Dani flying home to Ontario with her new furever family, Delaney was escorted home by her wonderful courier and is now in Ohio, tiny sister Little D flew home with her amazing couriers and is now in British Columbia and Dilly hitched a ride with her amazing couriers and living happily in Maryland.
Lastly, Miss North was a very lucky pup who was caught with the help of , spayed, dewormed, vaccinated and fostered by her rescuer and soon found an amazing home in British Columbia. She was escorted home by more wonderful volunteers and is new living her best life instead of trying to fend for herself in the bush.
