Potcake Place K-9 Rescue Potcake Place K9 Rescue- all volunteer not for Profit TCI Charity who's goal is to greatly reduce the number of homeless dogs in the Turks & Caicos Islands

Potcake Place is a Providenciales, Turks & Caicos based dog rescue organisation. It was first set up in a home on Providenciales, which has fostered puppies for many years. We are a Non-Profit organisation made up of a group of volunteers who want to help these rescued potcakes. We take pups to the vet, and give them all vaccinations, wormers and other treatments appropriate for their age. There i

s no animal shelter in The Turks and Caicos. We look after these Potcakes in our own homes until a permanent home can be found. Our policy is to house the pets for as long as it takes to find the best home. This is the only alternative we can see to them starving in the bush, being run over, intentionally poisoned, dying of Heartworm/Ehrlichia/Parvo or being euthanized. We socialise the pups with beach trips, and organise dog training where necessary. We meet potential adoptive families for a play session with the pups. If an adoption goes ahead, we take the pup to the vet to arrange a health certificate, book the pup on to the plane, and meet the families at the airport. We also spend time finding volunteers to transport the pup if the family are not visiting the island. Our aim is to increase the chances of finding a place for every Potcake. We hope Potcake Place can grow to involve more foster homes and to continue an adoption programme. Gorgeous Coral is also looking for her furever home and she is praying that she and the other pups can hop on a jet to NJ or NY soon so we can rescue more of her fellow pups that desperately need our help. We are full to bursting since the new CDC rules came into effect and cannot bring more pups in until we have space. Coral is a very sweet and energetic girl who hopes to find her furever home and live the life she deserves. She is 6 months old, spayed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccines.

If you are looking for something sweet in your life then Caramel is your girl. She has been waiting for the pawfect moment to be scooped up and is hoping to hop on a flight to NJ or NY very soon. Caramel is 6 months old, spayed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccines. She loves other dogs and has been enjoying her role as a tour guide to the tourists.

Gorgeous girl Heidi wonders why she hasn't been snapped up yet. We told her that no one has been good enough so far and her pawfect family are just around the corner. Could that be you? Heidi gets along great with everyone she meets and is 6 months old, spayed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccines. She plays well with her penmates and other pups she meets. She is an all round happy girl who just wants to be loved by her own family.

Puppy departure roundup catchup time again including 8 lucky older pups who were able to hitch a ride with amazing couriers to the US.
Survivor pup Tangi from the Five Cays Finds 3 enjoyed his ride in style to Texas to meet his new hooman then he flew on from there to start his new life in California. Bigger brother Taran had a long road trip after his flight and is now enjoying life in Colorado with his new furever family.
Chekov from the Jacque 8 litter disembarked from the jet in Florida to be reunited with his new furever family in Florida, brother Spock carried on to Texas, joined Taran on his long road trip before heading onwards to the Rockies to be reunited with his new hoomans in Colorado, and one eyed wonder sister Vina flew onwards to Wisconsin for a reunion with her furever family.
Ursula from the Crawfish 2 also enjoyed her ride in style and she was happy to meet up with her new furever family again. She is now enjoying her best life in Texas
Sisters Petal and Trellis (Trellie) from the Gardiner's Garden 7 litter also disembarked in Florida for a reunion with their new pawrents while brother Leif was escorted home with his wonderful courier and is now living happily in Pennsylvania, brother Barra hitched a ride with his pawsome volunteers and is now in Ontario and brothers Clipper and Cactus Jack flew up to Alberta and British Columbia to start their lives as Canadians.

Introducing the amazing Hoppy. Hoppy was surrendered to the vet clinic after she was accidently run over by her owners. Bark and Bliss Vet clinic agreed to take her in and paid for her treatment using donations from a special fund they have for cases just like hers. Hoppy is a superstar and won't let a little setback like a missing limb hold her back. This girl is going places. Hoppy will be up for adootion to a very special family soon. A beautiful transformation. Little Livy came to us just before Christmas in a bad way, covered in mange, malnourished, healing fractures, a possible future FHO surgery and very small for her age.
