New Year greetings have arrived from France 🇫🇷❄️

Do you remember the sisters, Ochi and Sanda?

They waited patiently for three long years at Green Tails,
before traveling via Spain and starting their new life in France.

Today, their adopter sent me a message and these photos —
showing them fully enjoying snow for the very first time in their lives.
An experience they could never have had in Thailand.

Even after so many years, receiving this update and seeing them still so deeply loved
filled my heart with happiness and gratitude.

I wanted to share this moment with everyone.

for giving Ochi and Sanda such a peaceful and beautiful life 🐾🤍

Happy New Year 2026 ✨

2025 was an extremely challenging year for Green Tails.
Thanks to your special support, we were able to continue caring for our dogs without stopping.

Most of our dogs are seniors, and medical costs increase every year.
Our goal is to provide senior and disabled dogs
with a home-like environment rather than an institutional shelter.
To keep providing a home-daily care, food, and medical treatment,ongoing monthly support is essential.

昨日、心温まるサプライズがありました。
なんと はるばる日本からタイまで、アレックスのアダプターであるご家族が訪ねてきてくださいました。

我が家のたくさんの犬たちに会っていただき、笑顔あふれる、とても楽しい時間を一緒に過ごすことができました。
犬たちも終始とても嬉しそうで、穏やかで幸せな空気に包まれていました。

このように深い愛情と素晴らしいコミットメントを犬たちに注いでくださるご家族が、アレックスを迎えてくださったことを、心から嬉しく、誇りに思います。
また、心のこもった素晴らしいご寄付も賜り、深く感謝申し上げます。

このご縁と友情がこれからも長く続き、私たちが動物を愛する気持ちを通して、互いに一匹でも多くの命を救っていくことができますように🙏💕

新しい年が、アレックスとご家族にとって、愛と幸せに満ちた素晴らしい一年となりますよう、心よりお祈りしています。

Yesterday, we had a truly heartwarming surprise.
Alex’s adopter family visited us all the way from Japan to Thailand.

They met many of our dogs, and we shared a joyful and meaningful time together.
The dogs were clearly delighted, and the whole place was filled with calm happiness.

We are deeply grateful and proud that Alex was welcomed by a family who shows such genuine love and commitment to dogs.
We also sincerely thank them for their very generous donation.

May this special connection and friendship continue for many years to come, and through our shared love for animals, may we help save as many lives as possible together 🙏💕

We wish Alex and his family a beautiful new year filled with love, peace, and happiness.

Snowball had a bath today 🤍
His white coat is now even more snowy — such a beautiful boy.
He is 2 years old, fully vaccinated, and neutered.
Snowball is ready for his forever home and can travel by April ‘26 to the UK or any country for the right loving family. 🐾✨

🎄 Christmas Morning with Our Rescued Dogs

On Christmas morning, our home felt softly alive with a gentle, festive energy.
The dogs were a little restless, their faces brighter than usual — as if they knew this day was special.

As the Christmas meals were prepared, our dogs waited their turn, tails swaying, eyes shining with anticipation.
Watching them was like watching children on Christmas morning, quietly excited and full of joy.
They savored their special plates — richer, tastier, and made with love — and for a moment, everything felt perfectly still and peaceful.

Moments like this are never taken for granted.
They exist because of the kindness and continued support we receive throughout the year.
Thanks to you, our dogs are not only safe — they are able to relax, celebrate, and simply be happy.

The end of the year is also one of the most challenging times for rescue work.
Medical care, food, and daily expenses increase, while donations often slow down.
Even so, the dogs’ needs never pause, and their care continues every day.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has supported us this year.
Together with our dogs, we send our gratitude and our quiet prayers —
for peace, kindness, and a gentle Christmas shared around the world.

クリスマスの朝、我が家にはやさしく弾むような空気が広がっていました。
犬たちはどこかそわそわしていて、いつもより表情が明るく、
まるで特別な一日が始まることを感じ取っているかのようでした。

運ばれたのは、少し特別なクリスマスのごはん。
犬たちは順番を待ちながら、しっぽを揺らし、目を輝かせてその時間を楽しみます。
その姿は、人間の子どもたちがクリスマスの朝を心待ちにする様子と重なり、思わず胸があたたかくなりました。

こうした穏やかで幸せなひとときは、決して当たり前のものではありません。
日々支えてくださる皆さまのご理解とご支援があってこそ、犬たちは安心の中で、この「特別な日」を迎えることができています。

年の終わりから新年にかけては、費用が増え、運営が厳しくなる季節でもあります。
それでも、犬たちの暮らしは止まることなく、
毎日を変わらず守っていかなければなりません。

今年一年、私たちと犬たちを支えてくださったすべての方へ、心からの感謝を込めて。
そしてこのクリスマスが、
世界中に静かな平和とやさしさを運んでくれますように。
我が家の犬たちとともに、そう願っています。

Ashlee brought such a positive vibe to Green Tails. She is calm, caring, and truly loves dogs — and you could see how safe and comfortable the dogs felt with her.
She helped with daily care, supported the dogs patiently, and always showed up with a smile.
She also took wonderful care of her roommate dogs, giving them so much love and attention every day.
During one of our saddest moments, she shared our grief over the loss of Singto and stood by us with kindness and compassion.
A true Aussie spirit. 💛
We are deeply thankful for the time, effort, and heart she shared with us 🐾

So many volunteers and supporters cared deeply about Singto and about senior dogs like him.
This loss, and the quiet sadness it brings, is something I share with a grateful heart.

Today has been an unimaginably painful day for me.
Sharing Singto’s passing is part of how I begin to face and move through this grief.

A few days ago, Singto suddenly collapsed during a walk after showing signs of a serious neurological episode.
His condition worsened rapidly, and he lost the ability to eat and to stand on his own.

We did everything we could to help him. Together with a very experienced, long-trusted veterinarian and the rescue team, we spent time carefully and quietly considering what would be the most gentle and respectful way to stay with Singto at the end of his journey.

Surrounded by deep care, thoughtful hearts, and familiar voices, Singto became quiet in my arms.
I stayed with him, speaking to him and encouraging him, until his final moment.

Wrapped in everyone’s love, Singto journeyed peacefully across the Rainbow Bridge.

After 13 years knowing only the concrete walls of a shelter as his world, I truly believe that Singto was happy during his final two years at Green Tails.
Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of my heart.

With heartfelt thanks to Dominique & Luc, Lisa, and friends, and to everyone who loved and walked alongside him.

Senior dogs teach us what truly matters —
gentleness, dignity, and love until the very end.
