A special thanks to the Mc Bean Hindu School for the invitation and an exciting morning.
Today, Aidan's Pets and Plants partnered with the Mc Bean Hindu School to share our love and knowledge of rabbits.
We offered co-curricular support to the teachers by consolidating what they taught in Agri-Science about rearing rabbits.
~We educated the extremely receptive and well-behaved students about our Fuzzy Lops, Angora and AngoraLops.
~We shared some tips about the care and feeding of the bunnies and they had a ball playing and feeding them.
~They got to groom our Angora and was surprised to see how big she was!!!
~We shared about the 3 main types of food that bunnies provide:
1. Food for the TUMMIES- Rabbits are the healthiest form of meats and we shared about some of the best BREEDS they can use.
2. Food for our PLANTS🪴 we made sure to reiterate that rabbit manure is THE best for your home garden and plants (maybe we are just biased). We allowed the students to feed them hibiscus, moringa, sweet potato vines, rose stems and fig leaves. And shared that we can feed our plants with the direct BUNNY manure and in turn, it nourishes our food and yields an amazing produce...
3. Food for the souls: we shared that playing with pets like bunnies can also help students and children, cope with anxiety, feel happier and more relaxed.
We donated a cute little kit to the school and there was a lucky draw to a student who apparently took the most chances... all well that ends well..
Out Fuzzy Lops Cocoa Puff and Powder Puff were the Star of the show and the students helped name the Angora Lops.
It was an amazing an uplifting experience to see the kids so happy.
