Our patient was screened for Heartworms 🪱 and Tick Borne Diseases 🪲 using a 4Dx snap test, a comprehensive screening tool.

This test detects Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis with a small blood sample, providing results within minutes. The control spot confirmed the test functioned properly, and no indicator spots appeared, meaning our patient tested negative for these diseases 🙌🏾

Today, we're sharing a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most common yet impactful procedures we perform: Spaying. 🐾✂️

From the comfort of her home, we provided pick-up service, carried out the procedure, and ensured she was safely returned home.

• Difficult to Handle Patients: For cats that are feral or difficult to handle, a flank approach provides easier access for the surgical procedure and post-operative care, making it a practical choice since the incision can be easily monitored and view from a distance.

• Preservation of Mammary Tissue: In lactating cats, a flank spay can be preferred to minimize disruption to the mammary glands, allowing the cat to continue nursing her kittens more comfortably.

• Minimally Invasive: Flank spays are often less invasive than traditional midline spays, leading to potentially quicker recoveries and reduced postoperative discomfort.

🚨 Bone danger alert! 🐾 This boy had a close call after a cowheel bone got lodged in his throat, but we were able to safely remove it. Not all bones are safe for pets! Bones can splinter, cause choking, or lead to serious blockages. Consult your vet for safe chew recommendations and supervise them while they enjoy their treats! 🦴💙
