In Taiwan black dogs are commonly chained at businesses and factories on short chains for their entire lives. 🥺😭

Let's start introducing ourselves! First we have our beautiful Mumma dog. She was most likely abandoned, because she has wonderful manners inside the home! She is even potty-trained! 🥳

The video is the day she was picked up from the shelter after spay surgery to be taken back to the worksite where she was found. She was meant to go back as a TNR (trap neuter release), but as you can see she melted some hearts that day. We are still hopeful to find her a perfect forever home!

Hello everyone! Thank you for following.

This is the "short" story of a beautiful litter of puppies who were born in the spring of 2022 on a worksite in Taichung Port/ Harbour, Taiwan.

Mumma dog did the best job she could raising up her litter of 5 plus (we can't be sure exactly 🥺) thanks to the help of some kind workers. But after some time, the neighboring factory decided to tie the puppies up on short little chains ⛓-- to probably be left like that forever! (This is a terrible, common existence for black dogs in Taiwan.)

A couple of the original, kind workers took matters into their own hands and stole the (remaining 4) chained puppies back in order to take them to the local shelter for spay/ neuter for TNR (trap neuter release). ***See shelter photo below!

That's when a couple passionate volunteers stepped in to help! (With the guidance of a local established charity.)

Originally the volunteers thought they didn't have the funds or enough foster homes to help all four, so they decided to prioritize the females for adoption. Unfortunately, that meant that the males DID have to have their ears clipped. (To show animal control they were already neutered after they were released as strays.) The girls were spared the clipping, as they were going to the vet for boarding/ foster care.

Then, at the last minute, another amazing foster stepped in! She agreed to foster two puppies! 🥺 Which was such a wonderful display of kindness. 😭❤

So it was decided that ALL of them would go to foster care, with three going immediately while one (Wookiee) waited in a local vet until a final foster stepped forward.

Now the last pup is on his way to foster care, and we are delighted! BUT we have also already burned through the original donation pot, and are looking forward to the next steps. The major medical expenses have been taken care of, but the puppies will need ongoing care before adoption. ***Budget will be shared here soon.
