Greetings, I am Tim Fang, founder of Ultra Fresh. Everything started five years ago.

It hit us that dog and cat lovers everywhere choose the best food made from natural, non-adulterated fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, carefully checking the raw materials and ingredients to make sure there's no artificial coloring and no chemical additives. Never skimping on quality, we treat them like one of our own. But fish feed is another story. Fish feeds on the market always contain all s

orts of chemical additives. Our team that gave birth to Ultra Fresh consist of fish enthusiasts who are rearing guppies, dwarf cichlids, schooling fish, suckermouth catfish and discus. In hopes of providing our beloved fish with the best food possible, we began brainstorming on how to make fish feed from all-natural ingredients. Things did not go swimmingly at first—it's extremely difficult to get fish to eat feed that's not boosted with attractants or artificial flavorings. It took us some five years in trying various combinations of fresh ingredients before we finally achieved a major success. In place of conventional fish meal or shrimp meal, we came up with a unique blend of top-quality fresh wild sword prawns sourced from pristine waters off the coast of Yilan, Taiwan, plus other carefully selected 100% human-edible natural ingredients. The result: Ultra Fresh can satisfy even picky eaters, while featuring superb palatability and nutritional value. We want to give your pet fish a healthier and better choice that comes from nature.

After Taiwan opened its borders, guests from Singapore, Mexico, and Hong Kong have successively visited our headquarters in Tamsui.

The vast majority of fish are poikilotherms, from physiological effects to behavioral dynamics are affected by environmental temperature. Most of the fishes in the market are native to tropical and subtropical regions, and the temperatures they adapt to usually fall within the corresponding range. To understand the effect of ambient temperature on the growth of these tetras after feeding in a captive environment, the research team conducted a six-month feeding experiment to observe and record their growth, and compared the results of the growth experiment with the ambient temperature information collected.

➟Feeding time & amount：Two feedings, 3% ~ 5% of the total body weight of the fish.
➟Test time：During the test period, fish weight was measured and recorded every two weeks until the end of the 168-day test.

◑ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀
The cyclic curve of the weight change of the harlequin rasbora (red solid line) and the red cardinal tetra (blue solid line) and the change of the outdoor ambient temperature (black solid line) are shown in the attached figure.

According to the collected data, the range of outdoor ambient temperature was 23.5±2.9℃ (indoor temperature range about 25-28℃) and 15.8±2.9℃ (indoor temperature range about 19-22℃) in the first 84 days and the last 84 days after the start of the test, respectively.

➟First 84 days: Both red cardinal tetra and harlequin rasbora were eating steadily, and the trend of continuous weight gain was evident.
➟After 84 days, the outdoor ambient temperature decreased with the season. The harlequin rasbora still ate normally and continued to grow; however, the red cardinal tetra showed a gradual decrease in appetite and almost no weight gain.

The results of this long-term experiment shows that although they are both small fishes, the feeding and growth of harlequin rasbora and red cardinal tetra do not respond in the same way to temperature change.

If you want to keep different kinds of fish in the same tank, and want each kind of fish to grow smoothly and be healthy, it is necessary to maintain the water quality factor (such as the temperature tested in the experiment) within the range that all kinds of fish can adapt to. Last week, we found the eggs in the corner of the tank. About 3 to 4 days after being laid, the larvae can be seen in the eggs. The newly hatched larvae will swim around with their large yolk sacs, which are very cute.｡oO

Greetings, I am Tim Fang, founder of Ultra Fresh.

Everything started five years ago. It hit us that dog and cat lovers everywhere choose the best food made from natural, non-adulterated fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, carefully checking the raw materials and ingredients to make sure there's no artificial coloring and no chemical additives. Never skimping on quality, we treat them like one of our own. But fish feed is another story. Fish feeds on the market always contain all sorts of chemical additives.

Our team that gave birth to Ultra Fresh consist of fish enthusiasts who are rearing guppies, dwarf cichlids, schooling fish, suckermouth catfish and discus. In hopes of providing our beloved fish with the best food possible, we began brainstorming on how to make fish feed from all-natural ingredients. Things did not go swimmingly at first—it's extremely difficult to get fish to eat feed that's not boosted with attractants or artificial flavorings. It took us some five years in trying various combinations of fresh ingredients before we finally achieved a major success. In place of conventional fish meal or shrimp meal, we came up with a unique blend of top-quality fresh wild sword prawns sourced from pristine waters off the coast of Yilan, Taiwan, plus other carefully selected 100% human-edible natural ingredients. The result: Ultra Fresh can satisfy even picky eaters, while featuring superb palatability and nutritional value. We want to give your pet fish a healthier and better choice that comes from nature.
