Finding a forever home after living on the streets your whole life must seem like heaven on earth. This Sweet Girl was rescued and adopted last week. Our street partners at Lake zone animal welfare organization-Lazawo were able to spay and vaccinate her ... allowing her to enjoy life without the burden of multiple pregnancies which so many of our mama dogs in Mwanza have to endure.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Hussein Virjai. He was not only a good friend to everyone but also a compassionate animal lover who touched the lives of so many. His kindness and warmth will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Urgent: Stray Dogs in Mwanza Need Loving Forever Homes!

We have 11 beautiful dogs in need of immediate adoption, including two adult females who need assistance with spay treatments to prevent further litters. The rest are nine adorable puppies, ready for adoption into loving homes.

With the rainy season here, many stray dogs face life-threatening conditions. We’re calling on the Mwanza community for urgent help to give these dogs a chance. They are currently at Kumalija Street in Bwiru, Mwanza, and we’re offering them for free to responsible, caring individuals.

We’re also seeking to partner with local organizations to aid in the rescue and support of these precious creatures. If you’re interested in adopting or supporting this mission, please reach out to Boaz at 0754 963 298.

**UPDATE** Sadly, our team of vets arrived too late. The donkey we came for had been sold for slaughter as he was no longer useful to the village. We are so sad to share this devastating news.

This poor donkey suffered severe chemical burns to its body while working in a Tanzanian gold mine. It was then abandoned by it's owner. Our team of vets is responding to the emergency and will transport it 3 hours to Mwanza to receive critical medical care. Once it is healed, it will travel to West Tanzania to live the rest of its life out at a donkey sanctuary. PLEASE consider donating to this important work.
