Crocodiles in the water can reach speeds of 25 miles per hour with just their powerful tail. Eyes, nose and ears are located high on the top of their skull, so that the crocodile can almost completely submerge in water, while continuing to hear, see and breathe perfectly. The crocodile is amazingly fast on land.
