Very useful gooseberry jam
Gooseberry helps normalize blood pressure and strengthens the walls of blood vessels. It also helps to cope with hypovitaminosis, lack of iron, copper and phosphorus in the body.
Cooking method:
- Remove the tails from the berries, rinse the gooseberries in cold water and put them in a colander. Prick the gooseberry with a toothpick.
- Put the gooseberries in a basin or a large saucepan, add sugar and pour in water. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat, remove the foam and cook, stirring, until tender, 50-60 minutes.
- Check the readiness of the jam by dropping a drop of syrup on the saucer, wait 5 minutes, then rotate the saucer in different directions.
— If the drop does not spread, the jam is completely ready.
