A beautiful testimonial I received from human mom of Cindy of Barvinok, my dear Alina 🩷:
I came across the Barvinok Cattery by searching around online; I had been wanting to adopt a cat for a long time but have cat allergies in my family, and learned about Siberians as one of the better chances to avoid allergy problems. The idea of a cattery was very new to me, as I’d only been familiar with shelters and rescues before, but getting to chat with Iryna for several weeks really showed me how dedicated and caring she is toward the cats. She was very responsive and patient with me while I was indecisive about which cat would be the right companion for me, and it was lovely to be able to meet her in person when she came by train to bring Cindy to me!
Cindy stood out to me in pictures because of her half-and-half face coloring, which I had never seen before, and so quickly she became a perfect companion to me. She’s so friendly and affectionate, ready for snuggles when I wake up in the morning, happy to sleep on my chest while I read, and always waiting to greet me at the door. She’s curious but not destructive, and follows me around our apartment to see what I am doing, and very chatty - we have conversations back-and-forth a lot of times. I was impressed and relieved at how quickly she adapted to the new space when she got to the apartment, although she was nervous, in very little time she came out to play and inspect, and found the litterbox without problems too.
She’s naturally a little skeptical of new people at first but very quick to make friends. She has even brought my closest friends around to appreciating cats - they were firmly “dog people” before, but have really come to love her and her mannerisms.
Having Cindy in my life has been a beautiful change over the past 5 months, and I’m so grateful to Iryna and Barvinok for the personal care and dedication they bring. It’s so easy to forget about a difficult day or problems at work when I come home to this perfect furry friend, and I look forward to many years together!
