I hope this message finds you all well. I’m writing to share with you the incredible work we’re doing at our care Every day, we strive to make a difference in the lives of abandoned, neglected, and mistreated dogs in our community.

Our mission is clear: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome as many dogs as possible. However, we can’t do it alone. We rely on the kindness and generosity of people like you to help us continue our life-saving work.

Hi everyone
I regret to inform you of the passing of the poor boy I took in yesterday 🌈 His unexpected departure has left a void that is deeply felt by me & my neighbours who helped me get him to safety. We were so hopeful he could pull through

He was more than a pet; he was a beacon of comfort and joy even though he spent only a day with me . Sadly, he succumbed to the pain that was passing through in all of his body 😥 and his appetite was very low.

I am so thankful for your generous support, which played a crucial role for this poor baby. 🌈🌈 money raised for his vet care will go towards veterinary & food costs for the other dogs in my care.

As l navigate this difficult time, l remain committed to upholding the Dog’s legacy by continuing my mission. I take some comfort in the fact he didn’t die alone and I was able to offer him comfort and love before he passed. Your ongoing support remains vital in sustaining our efforts to provide care and comfort to those out there like him. Thank you again for your support, it really means so much ❤️

Hi Everyone, this is John and Ruth, we help Reagan with his rescue and help run the socials pages, we just want to thank those of you who have supported the rescue over the last number of months, whether it’s words of encouragement, sharing posts, donating, we really appreciate it. Just again to give some background, I’m John from Scotland, I’m a solicitor & an animal lover. I have 3 rescues of my own and some of my law cases have involved animal rights . Ruth is from Ireland, is a PA & has also volunteered in the past in dog and equine rescues, she has a dog and cat of her own . We met Reagan this year and got to know him through our shared love of animals esp dogs. Reagan is only in his teens and has been trying to make a difference for stray dogs in his town in Mityana ,Uganda. He does get some support from locals but he is also up against an attitude of animals not being seen as important enough to care about! It’s hard for him trying to rescue dogs out there, why we try to support him as much as we can from so far away. His brother helps him with the day to day running of the rescue but it can be stressful at times. He is called upon a lot by locals to go out and help with stray dogs! There is only so much though Reagan can do with the resources he has, why we set up go fund me campaigns and constantly try and fundraise on his behalf, to maintain the running costs of the rescue.

We totally understand there can be cynicism on social media esp with rescues in Africa, why we wanted to introduce ourselves again and help you get to know who is involved . Hi everybody, I would just like to thank everyone for following Reagan's Rescue page and for the likes, loves and words of encouragement. My Name is Ruth, you can view my profile @ Ruth Lennon (Dublin,Ireland). I am an admin on the page and myself and another Volunteer John McGeechan have been helping Reagan with his rescue and social media pages. We both befriended Reagan a few months ago and both coming from a background of being volunteers in other animal charities and animal lovers, esp dogs, when we see what he is up against in his township and what he wants to achieve we both felt compelled to help him. Reagan is an exceptional, kind and compassionate young man, he is only 18 and has taken in a lot of dogs to try and make a difference ,in what is a crisis at the moment in Uganda of stray and unwanted dogs. His goal is to have his own rescue which he has been heavily involved in the construction of while caring daily for the dogs. If you can support Reagan in anyway, by way of contacts in other Rescues, sharing his work or by donation it's all very much appreciated. I speak with Reagan daily and he really appreciates and is so thankful of the support and kind words while dealing with some of the more upsetting situations with the dogs that he comes across. This week has been very hard, I was called out by locals to try and help feed a group of stray dogs one which had been hit by a car. The only comfort was he passed away very quickly and didn’t suffer. This is the other side of what I deal with on a regular basis, it’s very hard to see this , why I ask for your support! Hi everyone, as you know I am trying to raise funds to have my own rescue to be able to give the dogs I have in my care a proper shelter and be able to have the facilities to take in more from the streets. Hi my name is Reagan, I currently run a local rescue in my town in Uganda. Life for stray dogs in Uganda is hard, there isn't a lot of local shelters and resources for them are few and far between. I love animals and can't stand to see them mistreated, stray and starving, so I am setting up my own local shelter. Please follow me for updates on the day to day running of the rescue and on the progress of building my own shelter for these dogs. I currently have 20 dogs in my care, my goal is to have my own facilities and kennels to house more stray dogs, rehabilitate them and provide food and veterinary care. Hi Everyone, hope you are having a lovely weekend. Yesterday was a great day! ♥️Sam & I attended a Pet Care community clinic in Kampala. We met some lovely people ,got some great advise,made new friends and Sam loved all the attention 😄🐶♥️. Thank you so much to Uniquely Paws Limited & Uganda Society for the Protection and Care of Animals for taking the time to talk to us . It was a happy day for us to be with other animal lovers & like minded people who are trying to make a difference for stray dogs in Uganda. I will be attending these events regularly in the future , I hope you to keep gaining advice & making contacts , to keep improving Reagan’s Rescue, so I can give the best care to our fur babies . ♥️🐶

Living on the streets, these animals endure hardships beyond our comprehension. They battle hunger, thirst, and disease with resilience that humbles me. Yet, as their caretaker, I am often met with obstacles that threaten to overwhelm me.“It pains me to admit that some people in my community, and even on the internet, seek to undermine my efforts. Their words, laden with criticism and doubt, weigh heavy on my spirit. There are moments😔when I, too, feel the sting of defeat, when the burden of caring for these animals becomes too much to bear. We are so grateful to you that we can provide vaccinations as part of the care for the dogs at the shelter . You all have helped transform Sam into the happy puppy you now see 🥰🐶. Gentle girl Rosie 🌹 she is getting there and looking brighter♥️, she is such a kind and trusting girl! It’s horrible to think how cruel humans were to her, despite it she still looks for love. Today was another visit from the vet and continued treatment. She is doing well. We will keep updating you on Rosie’s progress, I know she will get there ! Hi Everyone, just an update on the dog I found in really bad condition, that I posted about yesterday😔. She is with me now back at the shelter and is doing better. She is not as scared but it will take time. The vet is due to see her also, for the moment she is resting and eating, eating is a good sign 🤞, in the meantime if you can help in anyway with our vet costs we would really appreciate it. I have been given a cost of $209.00 for her treatment. Thank you to those who have donated already, I don’t like asking but to try and balance food & vet bills I need any assistance that can be provided. I initially found them when they were puppies in an unfinished house that was being renovated , I think they had been dumped there . Now they are safe , happy and living their best life with a family♥️. These are the results of your ongoing support. I don’t like asking but if I don’t ask I can’t continue to help more dogs like Lisa & Bart.
