I haven’t posted on my personal page because we haven’t been able to tell Kayleb yet but I wanted to tell you all because you have been such a huge part of Lucies life…
We lost our precious girl today🥺 She went to be spayed and never made it out from anesthesia.. we aren’t sure exactly what happened but somehow she crashed and they weren’t able to bring her back.
Our hearts are absolutely devastated. Lucie was truly the dictionary definition of pure Goldendoodle… her heart, her loyalty, her sweet loving personality… Everything so pure❤️. She has blessed SO many families with forever friends and I know because of that she will forever live on in so many hearts. But she will be SOOOO missed in the Burns household and a part of me will never feel the same😞
We love you Lucie Goose and know you are with Grandpa and everyone else getting your butt scratched and swimming in your own pool ❤️

Occasionally, people tell me, "Oh, it's only a dog," "it's ridiculous to dress a dog or... "Well, that's a lot of money for just a dog."
They see the clothes, all the time at events, the time spent and spending of the money for just a dog, and they don't understand.
Hour after hour can pass by, and my only company is just a dog.
Some of my favorite moments were with only a dog, and also some of my saddest moments came only with a dog.
However, in those dark days, it was the gentle touch of only a dog that made me strong and motivated to keep going.
A dog brings pure friendship, trust, and perfect happiness.
A dog brings compassion and patience, which makes me a better person.
With a dog will I get up early, take long walks, and look forward to the day
For people like me, it is not "just a dog."
My dog is an embodiment of the memories from the past, and the pure joy for the present.

Franklin update!

He’s 14.5 weeks now and weighed 19.2 yesterday. He knows sit, lie down, shake, come and off commands so far. My favorite thing about him (this week) are his big fat teddy bear paws and all the lap time lovin’ he enjoys now. At first, he was way too wiggley for a lap!
