Are you paying close attention to detail before choosing your taxidermist?
We hear more taxidermy horror stories than I’d like to admit, the first step to avoiding all of that is researching a good and reliable taxidermist.
•EYES, EARS & CAPE placement! Look up what a deer actually looks like and compare on your own!
•How strong is their artisitc ability? (You don’t want your trophy hanging in your house looking like a clown) too much paint is not good. Not enough, not good.
•Experience! I can’t stress this enough, I know we all start somewhere, but make sure you’re actually aware of their education, time on the job & time in the industry, so you can meet them there with your expectations.
•Visit a few shops if you want to see things in live action, and know what to realistically expect, everything posted on our page is our work. Non-edited. Not everyone is honest though, unfortunately!
Don’t have to pay to have one remounted or worse - lose a whole trophy!
RESEARCH!
