Please don’t pass by and leave turtles in the road, most of the time they aren’t dead.

Found this snapper on a very busy road upside down, so I turned around and went back to help him. 😔He was hit by a car and got his shell cracked.

🥺 He didn’t make it, he passed away down by the quiet of the creek, but he wasn’t left on the road upside down and in the heat left stranded to die. I hope he knows that I was trying to help him. 🐢 ❤️

With deepest regrets, we must announce we are closed for intake. Unfortunately this year has been incredibly hard on shelters and rescues in the area. Adoptions are slow or nonexistent , and our rescue partners are also full.
Our kennels are completely at capacity at this time. 😔

🐾 How you can help us, help them:

1. Share our adoptable animals!
We have discounted our adoption fees in efforts to help find homes for our deserving animals. For the next two weeks (until August 13th), our dog adoptions are $50!

2. Volunteer for adoption events or Doggy Day Out

3. Fosters are always needed.

4. If you find a stray, post it immediately to the areas lost and found groups. We will gladly scan it for a microchip and post it to our page as well (but please understand, we cannot intake anything at this time).

Dog owners: please secure your fences, gates, and kennels. Do not leave your pets out unattended. Ensure your pets have proper ID and/or microchip. Accidents happen to the best of dog owners, but proper identification and containment are part of responsible ownership.

🚨IF YOU FIND NEONATAL KITTENS THE BEST THING TO DO IS LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!🚨

📞 We receive multiple calls and messages each day from people who THINK young kittens have been abandoned by their mother. While it can happen, in most cases, the mama cat is nearby. Please don’t kitten-nap prematurely!

🗣️ Momma cats often leave their kittens alone for a few hours each day. This can often happen if momma cat was scared away by a loud noise.

⚠️ The only circumstance to remove a kitten from where it was found is if it’s in immediate danger. In this situation the kitten should be moved to a safer spot nearby where it was found so that momma has a chance of finding it. A ring of flour can be placed around the kitten to help determine if momma comes back. You may not be able to see her but momma can see you and will wait until it is all clear to return to her babies.

🍼 Not only is it in the best interest for kittens to stay with momma we have LIMITED fosters and we need them to be open for kittens who are truly abandoned and need our help

Meet Max
Max has shown up for help, most likely a drop off that had a home. Max is full of love and a great cat to have around. After he is treated by the vet and neutered, he will be looking for his forever home. If interested in max, send me a private message for a foster or adoption interview. Adoption fee is $45
