We currently have quite the playful crew at Humphrey House 😍
Laney: 1 yr old 11 lb mini poodle. It's hard to believe she had double leg surgery in March due to a genetic defect. She wasn't able to use her hind legs until surgery. Look at her now!
Maxx: 3 yr old 8 lb chiweenie. Such a playful, high energy little guy. Pending Adoption
Ricky: The new guy... More on him soon.
Laney & Maxx are currently available for adoption. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines & microchipped. Their bloodwork was all good.
Humphrey House is located in Abingdon Md for meetings. We meet adopters by appointment only. Thank you!
Adopted..... Diego
Diego wants you to know that just because he needs to limit his activity due to a slightly enlarged heart, he can still have fun playing outdoors. He enjoys being pushed in a stroller or even riding around town catching bad guys in his little police car 🚓
Diego is a 10 yr old 9 lb male chi. He is neutered, chipped & current on vaccines. He takes a pill for his heart twice a day. He also has a cough due to a collapsing trachea. He has done well with the other small dogs in rescue but he doesn't like them trying to steal his food. I don't blame him.
Diego is being fostered in Harford county Md. Call or send us a message to arrange a meeting. Thank you!

Adopted 💗
This girl is breaking my heart 💔
Every time we go outside, she goes straight to the gate and just stands there. The gate where she last saw her owner disappear from 😞
I saw a slight improvement yesterday. She could lift her head & was eating. This morning is taking a turn for the worse. Back to not lifting her head, trembling in pain & not eating. Her back & neck hurt & her heart is broken. I'm scared she's giving up 😭 It's not fair. This is suppose to be her new beginning.
Thank you so much for all the thoughts, prayers & donations. I truly appreciate everyones support. Please continue to keep her in your prayers 🙏
Everyone knows, Good things come in threes. At least we hope they do 🙏
At times, we can go months without an adoption. We are blessed to have had 2 adoptions in the last 2 weeks. (Prince & Butterball) So which lucky dog will be number three?
Lita: 8 yr old, 24 lb super mutt. Waiting well over 2 years for a home. Lita is sweet but nervous. She needs a quiet home with a fenced yard to feel safe.
Nelson: ADOPTED 6 yr old, 12 lb chi mix. He has some resource guarding, so no young children. He is otherwise a sweet & playful boy.
Taco: 11 yr old, 13 lb chi mix. Taco is a sweet boy that likes his personal space. He is looking for a quiet retirement home.
Peanut: 9 yr old, 9 lb chi. Oh poor Peanut. I'm not sure if she can be or even should be adopted. She is a happy girl as long as you don't touch her. She seems to have a fear of hands. After 5 long months, I still cannot touch her, pet her or pick her up. She will bite. She will most likely live out her life at Humphrey House unless a miracle comes along. Someone with complete patience & experience to help her overcome her fears.
They are all being fostered at Humphrey House in Harford County Md. I wanted to focus on them before our new surrenders arrive tomorrow (a male & female chi) Send us a message for more info or to arrange a meeting. We meet adopters by appointment only. Thank you!

Lita & Charlie enjoying this beautiful day 🌞
15 month old Charlie can run circles around Lita. Literally 🤣 He would love an active family to take him on long hikes and/or a fenced yard where he can run until his hearts content.
7 yr old Lita is the complete opposite. She is a total homebody. She enjoys the safety & comforts of home. She is terrified of loud noises. Her crate is her favorite safe space. Whether your yard is big or small, she does require a fenced yard in her new home.
Lita & Charlie are being fostered in Harford County Md. Send us a message or call/text 667-967-2700 for more information. Thank you!
Sebastian, Jasper & Pup-Pup are still looking for loving homes.
It's hard to believe that these boys are considered behavior cases after watching this video of them playing. They are very nervous initially but you can see how sweet they are after having some time to adjust and feel safe.
Sebastian (Adopted) is a Chihuahua that will be 7 years old in June and weighs 10 pounds. He prefers cuddling over playing with toys. He walks well on a leash.
Jasper (Adopted) is a chi/jrt that is almost 2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He is terrified of a leash, collar or harness. He needs a secure fenced yard while working on house training & leash manners.
Pup-Pup (Adoption pending) is a 3 year old, 10 pound chi/jrt. He is the most nervous of all. It took several weeks before I could pet him or pick him up. He has completed a round of antibiotics for ehrlichia and will be available as soon as he is neutered.
Send us a message to meet any of these pups. They are being fostered in Abingdon Md.
We are proud to announce that Humphrey House is now officially located in Harford county Maryland 🎉🎉🎉
It has been very busy the last few weeks as we moved all the fosters along with the resident Chihuahuas to our new beautiful home in Abingdon.
We now have a half acre for the dogs to enjoy, a split rail fence that is secured with wire mesh and are currently building an outdoor kennel to keep the little ones safe from hawks & other predators while outside. We even have an amazing outdoor space to hold adoption meetings.
As you can see, Lita (and the others) love their new foster home ❤
Send us a message to meet Lita or any of our available dogs. Thank you!
Adopted
Sam is the only pup at Humphrey House that actually enjoys the snow 🤣
This 11 year old, 50 lb bassett hound mix is still looking for a loving retirement home. He lost a leg due to a large tumor but as you can see, that doesn't stop him one bit. He runs for treats and does fine with steps. His favorite hobby is napping on the sofa.
Send us a message to meet this sweet fellow. Sam has done great with people, cats & other dogs, although he prefers calmer dogs. Humphrey House is located in Baltimore Md for meetings. Thank you!
Nina & Maci... Available for adoption.
Maci (Adopted) a 5 month old female blue & white pittie arrived from Texas with her sister after being treated for and surviving parvo. Her sister was adopted and now it's Macis turn to find a loving home.
Nina, a 6 yr old female black pittie originally came to us in 2018 from the carolinas. She was heartworm positive, lyme positive & very pregnant. She gave birth to 11 puppies just days after arriving in Md. Nina was a great mom to her babies. After her pups were all adopted, Nina was vetted and eventually found a home. A year later, her family moved to a smaller home and thought Nina wasn't happy there. Nina went directly to a new home but after a year and a half, she started jumping their fence, so the home owners association demanded that she had to go. Nina came back to us 6 months ago and is still looking for a FOREVER home.
Nina & Maci have become BFFs during their stay at Humphrey House. They spend their days running & playing together. If you're looking for a pair of pitties, they would love a home together.
Of coarse they could go to separate homes. Maci would love another dog to play with and release her puppy energy. Nina can be dog selective but has done best with younger puppies. I do feed them separately, as we do with all the dogs in rescue.
Send us a message to meet these playful girls. Humphrey House is located in Baltimore Md for meetings. If the initial meeting goes well, we then bring the dog(s) to the adopters home to complete an adoption. Thank you!
Maci, Gracie & Nina...
3 pittie girls, available for adoption.
Maci & Gracie are 4 month old puppies. Happy, playful & energetic. ADOPTED
Nina is 6 years old and has been waiting 5 months for a home of her own. She is a happy playful girl that tends to be dog selective. She has always played well with the younger pups that come into rescue. Nina will need a tall secure fenced yard in her new home.
All are spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped & current on preventatives.
Send us a message to meet any of these sweet girls. Humphrey House is located in Baltimore Md for meetings. Thank you!

Poor neglected Sugar Bear 😞 His elbows bend outwards when he walks. He limps from pain in his hind legs but still wags his tail. Such a sweet boy! Was he injured or just full of arthritis from living in such a small space? We expect our vet will want to do xrays. He can't do steps and will need a home with easy access to go outside.
Sugar Bear has received his initial vaccines, microchip & 4dx test. He has started antibiotics for lyme (no surprise from all the ticks) and is taking gabapentin & cbd oil for pain. He is schedule for senior bloodwork, neuter & leg xrays at our vet next week. Send us a message to meet this adorable senior.
THANK YOU to all our followers that have chosen us for a cbd donation when ordering through maxandneocbd.com 💗 It has made such a difference for all our seniors.
