This little girl is doing incredibly well. It was touch and go for the first 24 hours but she has stabilized and her secondary infections are starting to also drain/ heal. We will call her Faith 😊 our goal is to have her ready for release by day 10😊

As time is getting closer to our move from Willow Grove to Stroudsburg , we want to thank everyone here locally for your continued support and also the community in Stroudsburg and surrounding for the warm welcome. We WILL be the WILDERZ AT PENN'S WOODS come the new year as previously announced on our first press release. We will continue to support this area for as long as physically possible with education ,guidance and service while ALSO serving the Pocono/ Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.

This is one of many beautiful raptors that Acct Philly helped get into our rehab . Sarah Barnett is hands down one of the most beautiful souls we know . If everyone else only knew how compassionate, giving and loving this woman was.... She has become one of our closest friends. Just a friendly reminder that if you are providing shelter for the winter months to any outdoor animals, please do not use towels or blankets, they retain moisture and can cause a multitude of health concerns including hypothermia. Straw is our go to😊

Upper Dublin Police called in this in to us at 5am this morning. The officer went back 3 times last night to check on this poor soul and luckily located our information this morning. He's now decompressing and recovering from severe head trauma. Please send positive energy his way💞

This is a result of trapping....unfortunately he lost his leg in attempts to remove the trap and he had bone exposed.
Our vet did an AMAZING job at this amputation to remove the exposed bone and decrease his pain significantly 💖
He is now going to get the 2nd chance at life that he fought for (being stuck in a leg trap approximately 9 days).

Important Update
Dear Friends of The Wilderz,

We have some exciting news to share. We have accepted the opportunity to serve as Co-Executive Directors of the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center (PWREC) in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

As you may know, that Center has been operating for over 40 years. Annually, it has cared for over 2,500 animals – including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. In fact, it is the only rehabilitation center in Pennsylvania that serves all species.

Serving nine (9) Northeast Pennsylvania counties, the Center is a critical resource. We intend to build on its great success and deliver “state of the art” care along with exceptional education programs.

Both of us are deeply grateful for the support we have received as we worked to establish The Wilderz. Rest assured that all our wintering animals will be coming with us to Stroudsburg and we hope that you will come too, as supporters, volunteers and well-wishers.
