💔 It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday! 🎶

Who else knows that song? Well, it’s even harder to say goodbye to a loved one! 🐾 🌈❤️

Today, we received the heartbreaking news that one of our Wilton Animal Rescue pups crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Please meet the pup, Tank, he was a beautiful dog we rescued in Herald, CA, a few years back. Sadly, no one claimed him. 💔 He was later adopted by an elderly couple who hoped to train him as a service dog for senior citizens. Tank was well-behaved on a leash and followed commands beautifully, but once he arrived at their Bay Area home, they discovered he was not the right fit for their home.

We welcomed Tank home with open arms.

From there we spoke with, Jeannine from J-Nine's K9 Dog Training. Jeannine took Tank in with open arms, and loved and invested time into Tank for the past year or more. As time passed a growth was found on Tank by Jeannine, and he was recently diagnosed as cancer. Together, Jeannine and WAR made the difficult decision to euthanize him to prevent further suffering.

We are incredibly grateful for the love and care that Jeannine provided Tank during his time with her. At Wilton Animal Rescue, we truly appreciate the hard work and commitment Jeannine brings to every dog in her care. Rest in peace, sweet Tank. You will always be remembered. 🌈❤️
