GC, RW, AW Pawsabilitie’s Willow x CH Pawsabilitie’s Feel That Fire

The kittens had their first veterinary checkup and vaccination yesterday. They all did well!

All kittens will go to the deposit waitlist to choose from in order of deposit received.

All kittens are curly. Copper is shorthair and homozygous for curl. Garfield is shorthair and Heathcliff is longhair.

CH Pawsabilities A Million Dreams x Gorgeous Waves Basilio

The kittens had their first veterinary checkup and vaccination yesterday. They all did well!

All kittens will go to the deposit waitlist to choose from in order of deposit received.

The Millie x Basilio kittens are all longhair since both parents are LH. Virgil and Vivia are curly and Velvet is straight coat/silkie. I suspect Vivia is homozygous for curl and she is currently in a heavy molting.

We have some kittens on the ground! They are young still so I will be evaluating them until around 10 weeks old but I wanted to share some photos.

I spent the weekend in Cleveland Ohio showing 4 of my Selkirk Rex cats at the CFA International Cat show, the biggest show of the year.

I am beyond thrilled that Willow made 3 finals, gaining enough points to achieve her Grand Champion title. She is now, GC, RW, AW Pawsabilitie’s Willow and is my first “home grown” Grand Champion

Willow is co-owned with Laura Jo Barber and Mitchell Ross

Thank you to my friend Sami for saving the day and getting Willow to the show on time Sunday to get to Vicki’s ring after I dealt with a disaster with my hotel room door lock malfunction into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Thank you to judges Teresa Sweeney, Gary Veach and Vicki Nye for finding room in your finals for Willow.

My other cats Pawsabilitie’s Feel That fire aka Bentley and Pawsabilitie’s A Million Dreams aka Millie, showed and handled very well. My kitten Gorgeous waves Basilio was such a good boy for the show too.

Saturday I took 4 of my Selkirk Rex to the CFA Erie, PA show.

I’ve been super busy with family and work so I haven’t been able to get out as much to shows.

This show ended up being super competitive for a 1-day with lots of beautiful kittens & cats.

Willow decided a few days before the show to pluck a lot of Millie’s neck hair trying to dominate her. I was going to leave Millie home but took her anyway for the experience.

Ch Pawsabilities Kasha and Ch Pawsabilities Bentley welcomed a litter on 8/30/23

I will likely evaluate this litter until 12 weeks (possibly longer) before releasing to the waitlist list for choosing.

All look to be curly except one female.

Time to introduce my newest Selkirk kitten, Gorgeous Waves Basilio

Thank you Alena Turchanka for sending this handsome sweet boy to me.

Basilio went to his first CFA show this weekend in Brockport NY and made 3 finals with one being Best Kitten with judge Jeri Zottoli. I was so pleased and excited with his first show against a large class of great kittens. As always thank you to the clubs and all of the judges.

What a show personality this little boy has! He made two finals in his first ever kitten show as a 4 month old up against a sizable and very nice kitten class.

This is the hard part…I can’t keep them all. I would love to find a home that is willing to continue to show this boy. He clearly enjoyed the show and was very well behaved for the whole trip which was a 7 hour ride in the car both to and from the show.

For now, I’m going to hold onto him to get him to a few more shows but feel free to reach out if you are interested in continuing with a show career for this boy.

Pawsabilities The Road Not Taken aka Miles and Pawsabilities A Million Dreams aka Millie had an excellent very first show this weekend in Columbus Ohio. They both learned to go up the poll on the second day of the show and Miles got called back to one final on Saturday and one on Sunday.

I’m very pleased overall how they both handled the trip, their first overnights in a hotel and 8 rings.

RW AW Pawsabilities Willow had a great first show as a champion in Columbus Ohio, making 6 out of 8 finals and a good chunk of points toward her Grand Champion title.

We also celebrated all of her 2022-23 season achievements as a kitten at the Great Lakes Regional banquet.

It was a great weekend.

Pawsabilitie’s Willow had a great show at the Central PA Cat Fanciers, Ragamuffin Cat Fanciers and Turkish Angora Fanciers show held in Oaks, PA on April 22 & 23, 2023 She made 9 out of the 10 finals. Thank you to all of the judges for calling her back.

Tiger and Rolo are up to date on vaccines and are clear of all the genetic diseases tested for through Optimal Selection Wisdom Panel. Both boys also screened negative for HCM with board certified cardiologist Julia Shih, VMD, DACVIM (Cardiology) at CVCA.
