Thank you for the gifts Wylee received yesterday from his wishlist.
Your love and support means everything to me right now. Unfortunately, Wylee isn't doing well and we are keeping a very close eye on him. Please send some prayers his way.
I want to thank whoever sent Wylee this toy off his Amazon wishlist! It means everything to me and him. We just want our boy to be as happy as he can be during this journey! He is going to the vet tomorrow afternoon for another round of fluids and vitamin B-12 as he has started to be a little sluggish and we want to get ahead of another downfall.
If you would like to send Wylee a little pick me up here is the link to his list:

I know I say it all the time, and I'll say it again, mental stimulation is super important for dogs! Odie enjoyed a puzzle last night and this morning is using a food dispensing ball for breakfast.
This weather was perfect for us to head to the store for some fun training! Odie loves playing hide and seek.
I wish I felt the same way about the snow.
Just a little mental stimulation this morning.
I. Am. Impressed! I can't believe how amazing Cooper is doing in 1 short week. Last week I truly thought he was going to be my hardest leash training dog ever but the work that mom has done is truly impressive. He walked very nicely down the driveway and hardly pulled mom at all. The walk was really nice and his manners are improving.
Sport teams have a pregame ritual. Ava has a prewalk ritual 🤣
Please welcome Cooper to the Pawsitive Results Training Family.
This crazy 3 year old is a handful when it comes to walking. I truly wish there could have been someone recording me when we started the walk. I have worked with 100s of dogs in the last 7 years but none as strong or determined as Cooper. We only got about 7 houses away from home in 25 minutes if that gives you any idea how difficult he was.
Mom would love to be able to walk him more but his leash pulling, even with a prong collar, is intense and way too much for her to handle. Cooper has never had any professional training so I'm starting from the ground up with him. He did show me how smart he is and he really does want to do what is asked but for 3 years he has done what he wanted no matter what so this is difficult for him.
I'll see him again this weekend and I'll be switching out their off brand prong collar with a high quality Herm Sprenger. This is now the only brand I'll be using for training. We will see if a better fitting collar and a weeks worth of training helps. I'm not giving up and Cooper will be a dream to walk soon!
I love when cats talk to me!
Super excited to have a frisbee friend for this week! Zeus and I will spending an hour together everyday just hanging out and having fun.
You know what you don't see in this video or hear, me teaching SusieQ the recall command. As you remember from when I introduced her, SusieQ is deaf, and teaching her recall is just as important as a hearing dog. So how do I do this? It's simple, e-collar training. She is learning when she feels the vibration from the collar she is to come to me and she gets rewarded! I'm also teaching her a hand signal for when she is looking at us and the e-collar doesn't need to be used. As always SusieQ was catching onto this new command quickly!
It's another beautiful October day. Get out there and walk your dog! #dogwalker #cattledog #doodle
Let me start by saying I would not do this with a dog that I do not trust and has phenomenal off leash basic obedience abilities. I know I can trust Odie if I drop a leash or when he's completely off leash that he will come back when I call him. So that is why I went ahead and used him to do this cute little video. Again I do not recommend you do this with just any dog. You have to know that your dog is going to come back when called and not take off once you have dropped the leash.
For a moment I thought he was going to just keep going without me 🤣
My lunch date's mouth was just watering watching me eat French fries lol
A beautiful October evening for Welcome To Realville! Tonight was all about working with reactive dogs. All 3 of these dogs have leash reactivity, but you sure can't tell by watching this video.
I worked with London and DC yesterday afternoon. One of the challenges mom now faces with having to use crutches is getting the dogs to understand heel now means to walk more behind her. London is doing amazing with the training so far. DC on the other hand is well a handful lol. He tends to walk away or just ignore us altogether. I have to keep in mind he is a senior and has been able to do what he wants and will take some time to get him into new behaviors.
Back to teaching the heel position. DC is scared of the crutches and he wants to be as far in front as possible so he isn't near them. For now we are just trying to make him feel as comfortable as we can being near the crutches. We use furniture as a training barrier to keep him just behind mom and taking a step when DC is relaxed. Next week I can't wait to see what progress has been made.
TGIF! I'm so excited to be spending some time with Clint and Kelsey. I've got some big announcements coming today so be sure to keep your eyes open!
Real life training. Dogs aren't always perfect.
Please welcome Penny to the Pawsitive Results Training Family. This little 5 year old Yorkie is super sweet unless you move your feet, lol. Penny will bite your feet when you walk. She doesn't do this with mom only people that come over and it doesn't matter if she just met you or has know you for years she will go after your feet. With the help of the e-collar we started giving her vibration corrections when she would go to bite my feet. She had moments of good decisions and would back away on her own and then some decisions that weren't what we wanted. This is going to take some practice and time to correct this issue as she has been doing this for almost 2 years. I'm confident that with consistent training from mom Penny will learn to leave feet alone.
This is what dedication looks like. Even though I'm pet sitting and staying with Ava I still make sure to come home and give ZeeNa her 30 minute walk and mental stimulation time.
Real life is what our group class Welcome To Realville is all about! Teaching your dog a leave it command is highly important as it could actually save their life. Check out these amazing dogs walking past the following items: banana, beef with beef broth, pumpkin, a Kong with peanut butter, a pile of dog treats (duck), canned dog food, animal crackers and a pile of dog food (salmon).
If you haven't got your daily walk in yet, because of all, the rain now is your reminder to get out and do it!
Sometimes we don't get our evening walk in until after 10pm. Now this walk ZeeNa is free to do what she pleases. No heel work, no structure, just fun. The plus side is she still respects and understands the leash pressure and what I'm asking. From the slow down to the sit, no words, just an understanding between her and I.
There is a very important training skill that most people forget about, calmness. You have to teach a dog how to be. You have to teach them how to settle down around distractions. Odie and I worked on this exact thing this afternoon. I'll be honest he did amazing! It also helps when the people around you just ignore him. I wish more of society would understand that it is way more acceptable to ignore a dog you see out somewhere instead of flocking to it and wanting to pet the dog.
So I asked all of you if you thought ZeeNa would eat the raw egg I gave her. The answer to this question is....Yes she did! She even ended up eating the shell too. Like I said in the video had this been an egg from the store I would not have aloud her to eat the shell as the ones is the store as put through a cleaning process. This was straight from the chickens this morning.
Welcome To Realville was so much fun last night. This class was different than most as we did speed rounds of training. This means we worked on 5 different things so there was tons of variety. Plus we did something that hasn't been done for a moment and switched dogs. Everyone got to work with someone else's dog. This is such a great experience for the dogs and owners!
Let me introduce Beast, Tiny & Mig to the Pawsitive Results Family. I have been spending every morning with them when I go to take care of the chickens.
Here is just some of the fun we had at the Pack Picnic on Sunday. I'll be sharing more photos later. Also if you have some photos please feel free to share them.
