As we near the beginning of regular whitetail season here in the Southern Zone, we are again sharing the updated reporting regulations that are directly from NYS DEC.

Download the app and save yourself some trouble!

If you take to a processor or taxidermist, you can actually use a self-made tag that includes your name, DEC ID, and DOC reporting number.

Paper tags are NOT required for transport as they once were.

We are a DEC licensing agent and open 7 days a week!

And if you have missed out on archery season and a month and a half of the best hunting, remember that as an archery pro shop, we can help with that!

Be careful out there if you're headed out. Hunting this morning ahead of the front might prove lucrative if you can! Winds look to slow overnight and then pick up again tomorrow before the afternoon.

A cold front will be moving across the region today, bringing a period of rain showers along the front and gusty southwest winds. A Wind Advisory is in effect for areas northeast of the Lakes, with wind gusts of up to 50 mph expected this afternoon.

We're on team leave all this time changing behind and just keep the time the time all the time!

You lose your evening hunts because of work, and you can't make use of your morning hunts during the week. No hour gained in the "right" direction when you're a hunter!

Now can I fall back asleep...probably not...

We give it our best every day. No one at our shop is ever slacking, and each of us continually strives to improve personally and professionally.

As a side, we are thankful Paul is our "crossbow guy." He knows a whole lot and is super thorough in his discussions with customers. This has been an unprecedented year with New York's last-minute regulation changes, and we have had our fair share of challenges and learning as the entire industry saw strain. We want the best for our customers and are giving it our all!
