It's possible that Pippin once knew kindness. But then it was gone. When she first came here, she was so afraid you couldn't touch her at all. The last time we photographed her, she was still hesitant to allow a touch, but once we did she rubbed all over the box she was hiding in. She is never going to be a cat with confidence. She will, however, be the one to love you with all of her little heart. You will be her person.

Pippin has leukemia. Whether or not this means a short life for her is determined by the stars. We need someone willing to take the chance with her and erase any sad memories she may have. Dogs will be too much for her, but she can live with other FeLV+ cats. A gentle furever will save her heart. She is only 2 years old.

Back in May, we pulled Shadow from a high-intake shelter after he was put on a euthanasia list. The only thing he'd done wrong is take too long to get adopted. Shadow is a cool guy who likes the easy going life. He doesn't mind other cats and he's the cat we use for dog tests. He doesn't seem to mind dogs at all and has no problem correcting an overzealous dog. Yet still he waits for a family. Shadow would do best in a mature household without young kids who may not know the ques when he's over cuddle time. He's only 5 years old.

Hidden in a covered cat bed here at the rescue, you will find one of the sweetest cats ever. Pam has nothing but gentle love to offer anyone that takes the time to be gentle with her. She's very affectionate, she's just afraid of this big scary world she finds herself in. Pam was pulled from a euthanasia list simply because she was taking too long to get adopted. Here at One of A Kind Pet Rescue, our pets have no time limit. We hope Pam doesn't wait a long time for a family though. For the one that gives her a chance will find the most loyal cat they could ever imagine. Pam is 3 years old and weighs 8.28 lb.
