Hi Everyone! I realize it has been a while since I posted. So many of you ask great questions about me every day so I thought what the heck, I will make a post about it!
1) What kind of pig am I?
I am a mini (sometimes called tea cup) pig. Yes, you read that right, tea cup. "But Bosco, you are so big, how can you be a tea cup?" This folks, is what a tea cup piggy grows up to be. I fit in a tea cup when I was 6 weeks old.
2) How much do you weigh and are you full grown?
I currently weigh about 85 lbs and I am full grown. I am actually on the smaller range of what tea cup pigs grow up to be. To put it in perspective, a regular farm pig can be 300-700 lbs. A standard potbelly pig is around 150-200 lbs. I come in about half that. If a breeder is telling you that their pigs are tea cup and guaranteed to be small, they are lying to you. There is no such thing. Like all living things, I love to eat and grow!
3) How old are you? How long will you live?
I am 11 years old. I want to live forever but the average life span for my breed is around 15 years.
4) What do I eat?
I eat a pig chow, similar to dog food, that my people pick up from a farm supply. It is a blend of alpha alpha and other plant proteins.
5) Do you like to swim?
My people have tried to get me to swim before, in a small pool, and I was not a fan. My friend pigs do love it though. To each their own!
6) Do you go on walks?
Sometimes, but not often. You see, pigs do not see too well. We smell really well, but our vision is blurry. Because of this, when I walk, I get a little stressed out about what is around me. Changes in the color of the pavement, those yellow bumps on the ground at corners, and moving people and cars, can make me nervous. If I do walk, it is best that both of my parents are with me, to help me feel safe.
7) What is your favorite snack?
I love weeds and my moms hibiscus. Nom Nom Nom.
