Last weekend Neptune went best of breed and took a group 1 in the beginner puppy ring. This boy is full of confidence and is learning to love showing. He will have his breed ring debut in September at the Wine Country Circuit.

The puppies had a great start this weekend. I am so proud of how they handled being at the show and their behavior in the ring. They had fun and loved meeting new people and dogs. They have only had two handling classes so far but they are shaping up to be nice show dogs.

Saturday Neptune was best of breed but no placement in the Sporting group.

Sunday Kailani was best of breed and she took a Group 2 (second place) in the Sporting group!

Neptune and Kailani are making their debut in the show ring at the Ballston Spa, NY circuit. They will be in the Beginner Puppy ring today and tomorrow. We are excited to see what the first Sardonyx puppies can do.

Last to head off was Pumpkin Pie, now Dublin, Sardonyx’s Lucky In Love. He is going to be spoiled by Greg and Sasha in Chicago. They plan are trying some different sports and seeing what they enjoy as a family.

Key Lime Pie left early Sunday morning for Ohio. Now Myka, Sardonyx’s Majestic Mykonos. She is joining Toller brother Sammy to create craziness for Alex and Emily.

Last to leave on Saturday was Coconut Cream Pie, now Nova, Sardonyx’s Champagne Supernova. He is being spoiled and adored by Carice, Peter and their three wonderful daughters in Massachusetts. They are hoping to try some Rally and Obedience.

Third to fly away on Saturday was Rhubarb Pie, now Rory, Sardonyx’s Wee-Mac’s Birdie. He is joining Lindsey and Billy in Massachusetts where he have lots of outdoor adventures and maybe try some sports.

On Friday we said goodbye to Archimedes, now Sable, Sardonyx’s Tides of Sable. Sable is headed to Colorado with his mom Sarah and Border Collie big brother Keji. He is going to tackle agility and field work.

With the busy weekend I didn’t get the chance to acknowledge our mama’s birthday. Cherry turned 3 on Monday. Cherry is an amazing mom and we are so proud of her first litter. We are so lucky to have her to start our journey and continue her Pikkinokka lines.

Our tiny Pascal is off to Brooklyn. Now known as Artemis Pascal, Sardonyx’s Goddess of Pressure. She will be exploring the city with Hira and Ryan and living a perfect life.

Puppies started to go home today. First to leave was Einstein, now Kodak (Kody), Sardonyx’s Snapshots of Relativity. He is loved by Laurie and Matt in Maine and living his best life at the beach and hiking and trying out some sports.

The breeders of my dogs have been an invaluable source of advice and support. They are my friends and colleagues who I will always want to share the good news with and turn to for guidance. Long after these dogs have passed I know they will still be there always teaching me something new. I hope I can be that breeder for the families that love my puppies. I want to see the adorable pictures and hear about the things they do and I will always be available when you need advice and support.

Did you purchase your puppy from a breeder? They should be a valuable resource when you have questions or problems about your new dog.

Sorry it’s been so long since I have posted. Here is an update on how everyone is doing. Both litters are doing great with drinking water and eating solid food. Mabel’s puppies are 6 weeks old and have been introduced to both soft food and moist kibble. They like it all! Cherry’s puppies are 4 weeks old(5 tomorrow 😳) they have been started on soft food and love it! Both litters are doing well with litter training. If weather permits they go outside every morning while I clean their areas. They are being exposed to a variety of sounds and I will be getting them to some stores in the coming weeks. They enjoy exploring the house a few at a time😆. And the thing they like best is no more whelping boxes means more room to play. I am having so much fun caring for them, watching them grow and learning their personalities.

The pictures below are from this morning, puppies are happily napping and calm playing after they had outside time and mid morning breakfast. They are listening to puppy desensitization sounds of a city.

The search and rescue dog that helped find this man is Draco’s sire. He is a sweetheart of a dog with a very important job.

Westerly police Chief Paul Gingerella credited a volunteer search dog named Finn for identifying an area where divers eventually retrieved the body.

We had more puppies than expected and everyone is doing great. We have some great homes lined up for some of these puppies but not enough 😁. We would love to have some of these pups in conformation and competition sports.

The Mini Pies Litter are 2 weeks old. Eyes are just starting to open and they are starting to interact with each other.
