I’ve been waiting to post out of respect for our friend Brittney to give her a few days but I feel we need to get this out there. Our sweet stud Wizard, sire to all of your pups, passed this week. He got an intestinal blockage from a bully stick. I know these bully sticks are marketed to be such great treats for our beloved dogs and they’re expensive too, but they aren’t safe. We send our love out to Brittney and we hope someone takes this tragedy and it saves even one pup. Every one of you owes the sweet sweet disposition of our pups to Wizard. He was an absolute doll. We will miss him.

Our good friends have 3 week old labradoodles with our sweet stud Wizard we used for our litter! Today we got to visit them. They are just opening their eyes and getting mobile. 😍😍😍

Tuesday morning is Penny’s X-ray apt. We will confirm pregnancy and get a head count. She’s smaller this time around but we do some physical changes. Not enough to say we are confident she is pregnant so tomorrow is a big deal! Standby for an update! If she is or is not pregnant we will retire her from any more litters. She will be 5 in November. Our plans would be to breed Mabel when she’s old enough which won’t be for another year or so. Our goal has been to breed responsibly with our family dogs’ best interest in mind. We will only breed with another dog we have experienced to be a great family dog with a clear health test. Penny and Wizard have produced some magical puppies. We couldn’t be happier with the temperament of them not to mention they are all gorgeous. We will want to find a stud for Mabel who carries the gene to produce more sable, phantom or a combination like Mabel. This upcoming hopeful litter will all be health tested at birth. We will be able to say what their final colors will be instead of waiting for them to clear like we did the last litter. This pic is just for fun. FAQ:

Can I register my chip with Fi even though it's registered elsewhere? Yes! When your chip is searched in the universal database petmicrochiplookup.org, both registrations will show up, but your Fi registration shows as the most up to date and you will never be charged. Your old registration can stay in there, but you can keep your Fi registration up to date for free.

Why do I need a GPS collar if I have a microchip? Microchips are NOT GPS - in order to find your pup via a microchip, someone has to find your dog, bring them to a vet to have them scanned, look up your information, and contact you - that's why the registration is so important!

Mabel had her last puppy shot today and she has her first trip to the groomer tomorrow! We brush her all the time and let me tell you, she is wild 😂😂 It’s so good for them to start going to the groomer early to get them used to it. I hope she behaves! 🙏🏼🖤

Today the pups are 15 weeks! They can have their last round of shots next week! I have an appointment scheduled for Mabel on the 11th for her first groom! It's important to start as early as possible to build a relationship with your groomer and get them used to it. They will spend a lot of time there over their lifetime! Pic of Doc for tax! Here is a cool article on Sable Goldendoodles. Our pick of the litter Mabel will turn out to be like one of these but I honestly don’t know which one. 😂 If I am understanding the genetics of Penny and Wizard she could be a Sable or she could be a Sable/Phantom but Penny doesn’t have the phantom gene and it requires two copies unless they have one sable and one phantom. It’s all so fascinating!! I wonder if we will get any next litter???

Big Update! Officially opening the waiting list. Penny started her heat cycle yesterday which means we should be expecting her and Wizard’s last litter at the end of May with go home day apx July 23rd (our wedding anniversary) 🥰🥰🥰

Mabel “stalking” Penny. Penny thinks Mabel is the greatest thing she ever made 🤣😂 She is having soooo much fun playing with her and loves her so much. Even though they don’t have the same coloring, Mabel has ended up being Penny’s twin in mannerisms, side-eye, looks she gives when she wants treats, the way she moves and even her waves hair instead of curly like most of the other puppies got. We love her a ton and we love the updates about all of our other puppies!

Daily grooming-

Get a good slicker brush and a metal greyhound comb well, 2. One for fine/medium and one wide/medium. Start at the ground and work your way up with the slicker brush, parting to the skin. Look up YouTube videos on how to use it properly. After you’ve brushed out then move to the comb and make sure you are able to comb through down to the skin all over especially the spots that mat easily like the back by the tail, under the collar, arm pits, under ears and under the neck/chest for Penny. If you do this everyday your groomer will love you and you’ll have a beauty! Start early so it’s just something you do! Do yourself a favor and get them used to it now! ❤️

Work on your “puppy puppy puppy” recall to keep it working! This has been imprinted in the litter since their first solid feeding. They were never fed without hearing this. Make sure you have a treat ready, call “puppy puppy puppy” in a super annoying high “Larissa voice” 😂 give a treat as soon as they come! Work on it at least once a day and someday if your dog gets off leash or there is an emergency it may just save your dog from an injury or worse!

Puppy role call! I hope everyone is settling into routines with their new family! Mabel has learned that if she plants her butt right when she walks in the door after going potty she will get a treat so so tries to go out and come back in immediately 🤣 that’s a backfire. She’s smart! We still have Doc and he is right there next to her! Doc’s favorite pastime is to sit while he’s still outside and make eye contact while I’m calling him in 🤣 They are so funny! These puppies are SMART! Doc is an excellent sleeper! He is so calm he plays hard with Penny and then you will find him plopped against a wall asleep. 🥰😂

We are all out of puppies!! This is Doc, he’s here for a bit longer while his family is on vacation so I get to steal his snuggles and keep working with him as well as “Sleepy” who is named Mabel and will live with us until our son eventually moves out (hopefully later than sooner). We would love it if everyone shares pictures and videos and updates us on this page how their puppy is doing so we can all watch them grow! I think it’s safe to say we will be doing this again! I couldn’t be happier with the way everyone turned out and learned a lot to make the next litter even easier! I need to do a shout out to Cindie for coming at 6:00 am with no warning to save me when Penny wasn’t a natural first time mama. She has grown to be an amazing mama and is really enjoying the pups that are here and playing with them now that her caretaker role is coming to an end.
