New Feeder Alert!!!! Both Locations!

Discourage squirrels from overtaking your bird feeder with the Wild Bills Electronic Bird Feeder and Seed. The innovative, Wild Bills Electronic Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder provides birds a safe feeding haven, while preventing squirrels and raccoons from feeding. Designed using animal training techniques, this generous feeder provides squirrels and raccoons with a mild electric correction when they attempt to feed, while keeping birds completely safe from this correction. Squirrels, raccoons, or other pests large enough to touch two metal contact points, such as standing on the feeder tray and touching a port, will complete the electrical circuit and receive the mild correction, however, birds' feathers are such poor conductors that birds may feed without this concern. A convenient on/off switch at the base of the unit allows you to turn off the electronic system for cleaning or refilling. This robust feeder has a massive, 10 quart seed reservoir, accommodating the included, 15 pounds of Wild Bird Seed Mix, Waste Free Blend. The 8 feeding stations have individual perches designed by an ornithologist for maximum feeding comfort, and the attached, 11" diameter base tray helps any captured water drain as well as catches seed.

What are the benefits of screech-owls?

Eastern screech-owl | Smithsonian's National Zoo and ...
Eastern screech-owls are carnivores. They eat mammals, birds, earthworms, insects, crayfish, tadpoles, frogs and lizards. They fly down from trees to capture prey but rarely hover when hunting. They also help control small mammal populations — they can easily eat more than 1,000 mice in one year!

We have some really cool Bee and Butterfly houses.

There are many reasons to have a bee house, including:
Supporting bee populations: Bee houses provide a place for native bees to lay eggs, live during pollination, and overwinter.
Helping pollination: Bees are essential pollinators for many plants, including fruits and seeds that we eat.
Helping solitary bees: Solitary bees make up 90% of the bee population and are vital pollinators, but they can't dig their own holes.
Preventing parasites: Bee houses can help prevent parasites that could kill bees.
Educating children: Bee houses can be a great way to teach children about bees.
Restoring lost habitat: Bee houses can help restore some of the natural habitat that bees have lost due to pesticides, climate change, and intensive farming.
When placing a bee house, it's important to consider the following:
Location: Place the house in full sun, facing southeast or south.
Height: Place the house at least a meter off the ground.
Security: Secure the house so it doesn't swing or sway in the wind.
Angle: Face the house's opening slightly downward to help keep it dry.

Butterfly houses can help support butterflies in a few ways:
Shelter: Butterfly houses provide a safe place for butterflies to rest and hide from predators and bad weather.
Feeding: You can leave food like overripe fruit or butterfly food in the house for butterflies to eat.
Attraction: You can plant nectar-rich flowers around the butterfly house to attract butterflies.
Education: Schools use butterfly houses for educational purposes.
Garden charm: Butterfly houses can add to the charm of a garden.
Here are some tips for using a butterfly house:
Location
Mount the butterfly house on a post or pole about 3–4 feet from the ground. Place it in a sunny or lightly shaded area, away from prevailing winds.
Food
Leave a shallow dish of water nearby to keep butterflies hydrated.
Shape
Butterfly houses are long and skinny with thin slits, usually on the front.
Variety
There are many different shapes and sizes of butterfly houses available, from simple wooden boxes to more elaborate architectural miniatures

We have a couple new styles of Bird waterers and baths for your birds at both locations!

Summer is a crucial time to keep your backyard birds supplied with water for drinking and bathing. Birdbaths set at different heights serve a great variety of birds. A wide, shallow birdbath that deepens a bit in the center will suit a broad range of birds
