2024 kicked off with a pressure system, so it’s a great time to drop males!

One of our primary breeders has been more dud than stud so far this season, so we also decided to bring some of our younger guys off the bench. If they figure things out, we could have some very exciting results this year!

After a couple of smaller clutches, our biggest female decided to lay a month earlier than last year and gave us 9 eggs with super strong veins. Great way to start the week!!

Look what we found this morning! This beautiful momma gave us our first clutch last year and laid even earlier this year. We repeated the pairing hoping for more gorgeous girls to holdback and she gave us six chances!

After our first year of breeding, we have plans for the next 3-6 years, and really just attended Tinley to see combos in person that we’d only seen on MorphMarket… and visit with our favorite YouTubers.

However, when we stopped at Tom Harbin Reptiles & saw several Clowns that would accent our collection perfectly, we just knew we’d have to bring one home.

This beautiful boy, with his Paradox spots and strange coloration, seemed like the perfect fit for our weird little family.

So… meet Van Gogh, a Paradox Banana Enchi Spotnose Clown. He will be one of the stars of our next few seasons!

Nothing like a little snake love to start the week off right!
Last season, these two were the parents of our very first clutch! We ended up holding onto most of their kids and are super excited to see this year’s beautiful babies as well!

Our future Clown army wouldn’t be complete without this beautiful girl. We were initially warned she could be a bit feisty, though she’s been nothing but a sweetie for us. If she keeps eating like she has been, she should be plenty ready by next season.

One of our youngest pickups, she was so fragile-looking that she worried us for the first couple months. Well, a year later, we know what babies can look like and… let’s just say she got over it! However, she’s still super cuddly… most days.

We watched this girl grow at our local shop for a little while, debating genetics, but now we can’t imagine our collection without her. She is a sweetheart! She loves exploring until she finds just the right spot and then will just sit and chill for as long as you let her.

When we first picked up this gorgeous girl, she was so thin and delicate. While she’s filling out nicely after almost a year, she’s still so gentle and shy.

While this girl prefers being left alone for the most part, when she gets comfortable, she’s incredibly inquisitive. She loves to explore and gives plenty of tongue-flick kisses.

Over a year between shots and “Racer” is growing up gorgeous! She’s super sweet, loves being held and has an iridescent shimmer to her that is absolutely stunning. She eats anything we put in front of her and just topped 700g!

And just like that…our first year as breeders comes to a close with our last 6, stunning babies of 2022!

We’ve had such a good time with this hobby, we think we’ll stick around for awhile. Got moms coming back up to size pretty quickly and plans all set up and underway for our ‘23 clutches!
