Our sweet, silly, and snuggly girl Cookie is still available for adoption! Cookie is about a year old and weighs about 40lbs now. She was abandoned at a local vets office and came to terrified and extremely emaciated. Now that she has settled in, she has turned into a playful, energetic, and loving puppy. She is thriving at Camp where she loves attention from all of the counselors and playing all day long with other pups! If she isn’t playing, she’s attempting to be a lap dog!
Cookie would do best with an active family, older children, and a happy go lucky dog that she can romp around with! Even though she was mistreated in the past, she is still so forgiving with humans. Give us a call to schedule your meet and greet with this sweet angel. 610-435-2267. 🤍🐾

This sweet girl was abandoned at a local vets office, was scared of the world and extremely emaciated. Cookie is still getting used to things, so she will do better in a home with older kids, and a confident dog. She is potty trained, and knows how to sit. Bringing a new dog home? 🐶 Adjusting to a new environment can be tough for dogs, but with patience, understanding, and a bit of guidance, you can help make this transition smoother.

Dogs often go through what’s known as the “3-3-3” adjustment period: ➡️First 3 days: They might feel overwhelmed, acting hyper, extra-curious, or clingy. Some may even appear unusually calm. ➡️ First 3 weeks: As they start to settle, they’ll test boundaries, showing shifts in energy and behavior. You might notice them becoming more independent or seeking more attention. ➡️ First 3 months: By this time, your dog will likely feel comfortable, revealing their true personality and preferences for people, activities, and even favorite toys or treats.

Remember, every dog adjusts at their own pace, and some may not follow this guideline exactly. Your patience and care will go a long way in helping them feel safe and loved in their new home. 💗

If your dog is showing signs of stress, it’s okay! They may need more time and reassurance as they figure out what makes them feel secure. Whether they need more exercise, extra snuggles, or more space, being flexible with their needs is key. 🐕

Give them time, and soon enough, they’ll be wagging their tails, feeling at home, and showing you their most confident selves.

Once they've been settled in their new home for at least two weeks, bring them to Camp for an interview! We're here to fulfill all your pup’s socialization and exercise needs!
