I remember going to feed the ducks 🦆 when I was younger. Glad that over the years we have now become more educated on what food is best for them.

***Use caution when feeding chopped grapes to the ducks/geese. I’d recommend another food as grapes 🍇 are toxic to dogs and cats. ***

🦆say to no those that feed them🍞bread🦆

As the weather begins to get nicer and you take your kiddos to a local pond or lake to feed the ducks and geese, please keep this bit of info in mind.🙏🙏🙏

Another FYI

Feeding bread causes permanent damage to ducks and geese. They develop angel wing. They can not migrate or fly to avoid predators. PLEASE DO NOT FEED BREAD to ducks and geese. Cracked corn, corn, peas, mealworms, romaine lettuce, watermelon, grapes CUT into pieces, cantaloupe……are a few good options!

Dogs and cats can get sunburn on their ears, noses and paw pads.

Sharing this as it is an important reminder as we celebrate the Fourth of July! Keep your pets safe.

❌Don’t let your indoor/outdoor cat(s) outside
❌Don’t take dogs out for potty breaks between 9:00-11:00pm
❌Don’t take your dogs to the Fireworks 🎆

✅Do put on music for your dogs/cats
✅Keep in a quiet room if you’re not home or have company over
✅Make sure fences and doors are secure/shut
✅Have your dog/cat collars on with their info

4th of July is the biggest Holiday when pets go missing because they ran off.

We have tomatoes 🍅, cucumbers 🥒, carrots 🥕, and broccoli 🥦 for them to snack on with plenty of water to drink! Wash your fruits and veggies! 🥗

⁉️Remember to make sure tomatoes are ripe and ready to eat before giving them to your flock. Leaves and stems are part of the nightshade family (poisonous) that should not be eaten!!⁉️

Have a talk today with your trusted friend or relative sooner than later. More and more animals are being dropped off at already booked shelters because nobody would take the family pet. How sad and scary for the animal.

Missing our floofy boy Chippers aka Chippies. 💔Today would’ve been his 11th birthday. It’s been a little over 2 yrs and we still think about him all the time. He was our one of a kind weighted blanket, purring machine and oh so sweet and silly. Our 19lb soft fluffy buddy. It never is easy losing our fur babies. Hold them close and cherish everyday with them! ❤️

Please do not give bunnies and baby chicks as gifts this Easter 🐣. They are NOT low maintenance and bunnies need a large enough pen for them to hop around. Many of the bunnies get dumped or brought to a shelter after Easter still small or when they are full grown. For the sake of the animal, should you not have the time/money or space for them or any animal, DO NOT get one.

It’s bitter cold out there. 🥶 The lost and abandoned animals need help. Please provide an outside shelter if able to. Just a week ago, a woman found a cat frozen to death on a sidewalk. This was in an area with a lot of foot and car traffic. We are their only voice and people overlooked this poor kitty. 😢

Below are some helpful tips on what to do if you find a hyperthermic animal. Please don’t just leave them. Cats and dogs can get frostbite on their ears, noses and paws. 💜🐾
