Diamond S Performance Horses specializes in training former AQHA race horses into barrel racing, steer wrestling and roping horses for sale. We also train horses for customers on a limited basis. Our indoor and outdoor facilities also host annual steer wrestling and roping schools throughout the year. Private lessons can also be scheduled throughout the year.

Our Story

Diamond S Horses, located in Almont, ND is owned and operated by Tyler and Jackie Schau along with Tyler’s parents Mike and Mary Lou Schau of Oxford, KS. Mike and Mary Lou find the majority of the horses that go through our program. Then send the horses to Almont where their training begins. We love helping ex-race horses find new careers in the rodeo arena and believe the talent they have been blessed with as well as the experiences they have gained make them excellent horses for a career in the rodeo arena.
