You will immerse yourself in the essential skills that have shaped the backbone of ranch life. Get ready to master the art of tractor handling, a fundamental skill for any aspiring rancher, and delve into the basics of building, where every nail driven and board placed is a step towards self-reliance. Join us, as we explore the beauty of hard work, the importance of community, and the enduring spirit of the American West.

In addition to mastering ranch skills, our Cowboy Club offers an unparalleled journey into the world of horsemanship. Each participant will have the unique opportunity to learn to ride horses under the guidance of experienced riders who understand the profound bond between horse and human. Dive into the enriching world of hands-on learning with our 8-week program designed specifically for homeschool kids. Every Monday from 9am to 1pm, your child will embark on a journey that blends practical skills with the spirit of adventure, right in the heart of nature.

1. **Incubate Chicken Eggs**: We start with the miracle of life, teaching kids the patience and care required to incubate chicken eggs. They'll witness the wonder of development, from egg to chick, learning invaluable lessons about life cycles and responsibility.

2. **Raise Goats**: Experience the joy and challenges of raising goats. Kids will learn about feeding, grooming, and the overall health care of these playful animals, fostering a sense of compassion and stewardship.

3. **Rabbit Care**: Our program includes comprehensive rabbit care, where children will understand the necessities of these gentle creatures, from their diet to their environment, emphasizing kindness and empathy.

Once upon a time at Stoney Oaks Ranch, there was a young girl with a dream as big as the open sky. For four years, she has been a familiar face around our summer camps, but her journey to get here is a tale of hard work, dedication, and a love for horses that knows no bounds.

This remarkable young lady, with a passion for horseback riding burning bright in her heart, decided she would find a way to saddle up, no matter what. Understanding the value of hard work and the sweet taste of earning your dreams, she rolled up her sleeves and got to work.

With a sprinkle of flour on her nose and the warm aroma of freshly baked cookies and sourdough bread wafting through the air, she embarked on a culinary adventure. Each cookie sold and every loaf of bread that found a new home brought her one step closer to her goal.

Her efforts were not just about making money; they were a testament to her commitment to her dream of riding and learning at Stoney Oaks Ranch. She persevered, her determination never wavering.

Learning from the professionals today! We had a visit from Dr. Amaral who had ALL KINDS of cool things to share with these hands-on kiddos! We got to touch and feel horses teeth, bones, stones, and hooves. We also got to touch a bunch of vet instruments and tools. We appreciate all that pour time and knowledge into these campers!

We shook hands, made eye contact while introducing ourselves, said the Pledge of Allegiance, rode horses, drove tractors, talked with an active military man who explained the American flag, his uniform and how to handle and fold the flag….
