Introduction time!
I'm KariLyn and this is my senior dog and constant companion, Enzo. (Named after Enzo Ferrari) I'm Erich's eldest and I manage all the social media and do some of the graphic design for Highland K9.
Along with being really into our Scottish heritage our family loves dogs. If there is a family gathering you can bet we are talking dogs and dog training. My dad has such a natural affinity with dogs sometimes I think Enzo prefers him to me. He's just one of those people dogs LOVE.
Apart from that I've watched his passion and natural ability for dog training go from having remarkably trained family and hunting dogs to a real passion for sharing his vast training knowledge with every owner of every kind of dog. On top of that he's a truly great person. But I'm bias...
Spaces are still available for one-on-one training sessions at the discounted price through April 30th.
Erich can travel to you in most cases and sessions will be taught outside with social distance.

The longer I work with dogs the more I'm impressed with the importance of EXCELLENT puppy socialization. So much of dog communication is through gesture and facial expression. It can sometimes be tricky to know just what your dog is thinking, especially for new dog owners.
Max (right) is an elder states dog and has a definite opinion about his baby sister's antics.

This is Emily one of our training assistants and my neighbor with her sweet young dog Roxie. Roxie is all sweetness but is just kinda shy with folks she doesn't know. How many of you have had a special connection with a shy doggo?

This is my dog, Greer. I've wanted a German Shepard for most of my adult life. I've had some extremely special dogs while my kids lived at home but at some point in my 60s I realized if I was going work with a Shepard now was my chance. We have worked hard together and both learned so much. After a lifetime of dogs I don't think I've ever felt closer to one as I do to Greer.
There is a point in this video where he looks up at me. I think the look on his face in that moment says it all.
