After being on stall rest for pretty much this whole last year I think Kip is feeling much better! We thought it was gonna be a calm lungingHe got so excited to see those barrels he acted like he was about to go run 🥰
After having a year off due to an injury, Kip is very excited to get back into barrels. As you can see, he’s lunging for them 🤣
Prim’s first ride back
Prim(Rosa Mountain) did amazing today! I made the decision to get her back to work and I’m so glad I did because she seemed to love it! we rescued Prim back in January, and she was in very rough shape with a very bad injury to her hind left leg. It took a long time rehabbing her and she ended up getting cellulitis Really bad and almost dying while trying to heal up the big gash on her leg. We were told from pretty much day one that she would most likely never be rideable so to be able to have her alive for one but now being able to ride her is such a blessing. We have taken it very slow with her. Kylie helped me break her out this past late spring and we only put about 5 or so rides on her because we were only doing a a couple days a week wanting to give her a slow start to give her the best chance. We then decided to give her several months off to grow and today when I got back on her, it’s like there was no time off at all she retained everything and she just seems to absolutely love being ridden, which is mind blowing but I love it so much. It feels great to finally have my own horse that just seems to have the heart of willingness to just do whatever I want with her to without a fuss. I have say with our experience with prim and Kylie’s filly Jayde, Bonnie at flying O Ranch breeds the best minded, loving horses I have ever met and had the chance to own.
