Ive been out of town with the National Guard so I missed the babies three week update. I came home to puppies developing their little personalities 😍 3 weeks and 4 days old today

It’s a little wild in here this morning!

Pearls babies are a month old now and doing well. I haven’t posted about them because I didn’t want inquiries when I wasn’t sure if they would make. A little back story. Pearl normally has natural deliveries but she was unable to have her first puppy during labor. We took her for emergency C-section where she had 4 puppies one never had a heart beat. So we brought home 2boys and a girl. Pearl did not recover easily like normal, her milk took a full 7 days to come in and despite round the clock care we lost another boy. I felt incredibly defeated and quite a bit guilty as I had planned on retiring pearl and not breeding her again. Pearl has a home lined up for her ❤️ Her boy is available

I often get asked by families if it’s a good idea to get a puppy when they already have other dogs especially older dogs at home. It has been my experience that chihuahua puppies are extremely adaptable. They love to play but because of their size they aren’t so threatening to your pet. They really do win everyone over. I do however encourage slow introductions on a neutral territory. Please never leave pets that don’t know each other unattended. Pictured is almost 9 month old fiesty and her bestie Fred who is a senior male golden.
