Thank you to all of the competitors who came out to the FastCAT this weekend. We made it through the rain and finally saw the sun today. We celebrated many successful runs and helped many dogs figure out how the chase the bunny.
Special thanks to the Cedar Rapids Kennel Club and Cindy McDonald for allowing FastCAT to crash your dog show. We had so much fun!!!
This weekend could not have happened without our awesome volunteers. Randy Jones was our set up crew and made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. Kent Ohlms and Sarah Ohms were newbies to volunteering for FastCAT, but were pros in no time on the board and hunt master positions. Beverly Carpenter and Lanita Lovelace were our dedicated manual timers. Jill Kristine and her family were invaluable as the lure operator, timer and releaser. (I’m pretty sure Cody has his own fan club) Karmen Schlesselman safely delivered everyone to the finish line and was a trooper driving through the rain. Matt Gerdes was once again phenomenal as the hunt master and even took a few hours of lure operating for us. Chuck Adams and Lana Luhring made sure that every dog was safe to run. Lexi Adams kept the ribbons coming as quickly as possible, and Sydney Hott was a Jill of all trades and ready to step in wherever she was needed. Connie Adams was able to help dogs turn onto the bag when others couldn’t.
Thank you again to everyone who competed or stepped in to help this weekend. We hope you had as much fun as we did.
