Animal Rescue Shelter, Inc. The Animal Rescue Shelter is a 501(c)3 organization with the mission to rescue abandoned and abused animals and provide a home until they are adopted.

The Shelter was incorporated in 1995 and opened May 5, 1996. It is located on 28 acres in Randall County at 12500 FM 1541 (S. Washington) in Amarillo, Texas. Adoption fees are $90 which include distemper, rabies shots and sterilization.

Dog of the week. Baby girl. A 3 year old pit bull staffy mix. Lots of dog which equals lots of love and snuggles. Very affectionate girl just wants to play, sunbathe, get scratches and cuddles. She's a lot of dog and doesn't always know how big she is. This big mama would be best as a solo dog in a home.

Let's start something new.
Here is our dog of the week: Enzo 2.5 to 3-year-old bull terrier mix. Very playful, still a big puppy at heart. He is currently working with our volunteers, Texas Devil Dogs, on fence manners, treat manners, agility elements, recall, as well as play with a flirt pole. Jax (Nugget) is a 4-month-old Rottweiler mix. He was brought to the shelter from a hoarding case when he was just 3 days old. Birthday is April 20,2025.
