Animal Rescue Shelter, Inc. The Animal Rescue Shelter is a 501(c)3 organization with the mission to rescue abandoned and abused animals and provide a home until they are adopted.

The Shelter was incorporated in 1995 and opened May 5, 1996. It is located on 28 acres in Randall County at 12500 FM 1541 (S. Washington) in Amarillo, Texas. Adoption fees are $90 which include distemper, rabies shots and sterilization.

Let's start something new.
Here is our dog of the week: Enzo 2.5 to 3-year-old bull terrier mix. Very playful, still a big puppy at heart. He is currently working with our volunteers, Texas Devil Dogs, on fence manners, treat manners, agility elements, recall, as well as play with a flirt pole. Let's give this awesome boy a chance at a forever home.

Jax (Nugget) is a 4-month-old Rottweiler mix. He was brought to the shelter from a hoarding case when he was just 3 days old. Birthday is April 20,2025. He's an energetic puppy who enjoys the water as well as his special teddy bear. We are taking applications for him; however, he won't be able to go home until he has been neutered.

Sophie, a 2–3-year-old poodle mix. She was brought in from a hoarding case with one puppy. She is very shy and would take a bit to get used to new things. Once she does, she becomes extremely playful, loves to play in the pool, and enjoys snuggling with her toys. Lets give this sweet girl a chance at her forever home.
