I have a housecleaning matter I unfortunately need to address as these attempts are becoming too frequent:
We are a SMALL business. Like, really small...I don't know if people are just used to scamming and cheating huge corporations and they think they're not hurting anyone, but we are literally a 2 person day-to-day operation, with of course others behind the scenes, but my point is this--- to the customers trying to rob us of income and products, we are not Jeff Bezos. We are small, we know what's going on, and we simply can't afford it.
Since everyone who has attempted to cheat us so far is on Facebook, I figured I'd use the platform to notify you that the very first time you deliberately attempt to steal from our small business, your entire profile will be blocked, along with your aliases, including boyfriends' names, etc. You will receive no future orders. We're not Amazon, and I absolutely can and will choose not to do business with the morally bankrupt. That's the coolest part of being my own boss.
I'm posting a real exchange with a customer who, through their own error, didn't enter the coupon code and decided to file a dispute with PayPal claiming she didn't receive her order. Her dispute was filed at 11:19am Thursday, her order placed at 11:02am Thursday. She emailed me at 11:05. That's 14 minutes she gave me to respond to the dispute she filed for an order placed 17 minutes beforehand.
Sorry, Lisa, but orders do take longer than 17 minutes to ship from our warehouse in St. Cloud, MN to California.
I responded to her email 50 minutes after she sent it and asked detailed information trying to understand if there was a glitch I needed to make a ticket about (very possible) or whether it was simply user error and she needed a price adjustment. At no point did she mention she had already filed a dispute so that we would not be paid for the food she ordered, regardless of how we handled it.
I offered a refund of the amount of the coupon and she accepted.
Now, her food is nearly to her (not bad for an order placed Thursday to California) and we have 💲 ZERO from her. How much have we lost between cost of food and shipping to California? Not to mention having disputes filed against us has penalties, if it occurs frequently.
We have no choice but to block orders from these types of "customers," as they are actually thieves and we cannot afford to cater to thieves.
I really hate to have to actually type this because most of our customers are THE BEST --- but I know these people are following this page and I'd rather not email them 1 by 1 and say hey, you can't just change your name and keep pretending you're a first time buyer or change your delivery address online the day of delivery and then claim we delivered it to the wrong address for 5 months in a row, or file charge backs or disputes every time you're short on cash, and so on.
You know who you are, and we know who you are.
