Well we had a dog gone good time last night at Belfast Gastropub. Music, food, drinks and dogs you can’t beat that. We wanted to give a huge thank you to Belfast they are always so kind and supportive and even donated a tv to raffle off last night.

Every dollar raised helps get our long time residents into training to address behavioral issues that limits their adoption. We truly appreciate the support of the community to help make this happen.

The Volunteers of Babylon Animal Shelter will be there with pics and bios of our adoptable pets, volunteer apps, and raffles that are off the chain!

Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome to crash the party! Hit up the volunteer table for a free pup cup, because who doesn't love free stuff?

Saturday August 17, Belfast Gastropub is going to the dogs - and we mean that in the best way possible - at the Guide Dog and Babylon Animal Shelter Block Party, so come join the pack! Friendly dogs on leashes are welcomed at this event! 🐕

The Volunteers of Babylon Animal Shelter will have a table set up at this event with pictures & bios available of adoptable pets, as well as volunteer applications, raffles, tshirts and pet merchandise for sale. FREE PUP CUPS TOO!

Sandy is going to Nationals, for all the people local to Syracuse I’m sure you know what it is I’m talking about.

For all us not in the know it’s the biggest car show in the northeast.

A local rescue was extremely kind and invited Sandy to come and spend some time at their booth and meet some people. So if you’re going please stop by and see her and the rescue. Sandy will be there today from 9-11am and they will be there all weekend with other dogs and cats looking for their families as well so stop by and visit the Center of Progress building!!

Sandy is ready to be seen. Sandy is an intelligent, fun, sassy, sweet, and affectionate 4 year old pit mix She has Hollywood level charm, glamour, and beauty to match! She was brought in by animal control 3 1/2 years ago after repeatedly escaping from her neglectful owner. Sandy spent 3 long years at the Babylon Animal shelter. Her advocates were heartbroken as they watched her get overlooked time and time again. They decided they needed to get Sandy out of the shelter and into a home environment for training. Sandy entered K9 Soul’s Rescue and Rehab program in Jan of 2023 and has blossomed into the happiest, well-behaved pup! Sandy can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does, get ready to fall in love with her big soft eyes, pure joy smile, and all of the fun this girl has to offer! She is a strong girl that loves to romp and play in the grass, splash and lounge in the pool, and bounce around with her favorite people playing games and exploring. Sandy is currently working on her dog on dog/pack interactions and doing fantastic! At this time, we are looking for a home in which she can be a solo pup or a home with a balanced male her size while she continues to work on her dog communication skills to set her up for the best possible success.
