Shayla will be unavailable on August 23–24 and October 30–November 4.

We’ll still be welcoming easy-going pups for boarding during these times, but all communication regarding drop-off and pick-up must go through our business number. Messages sent to social media or Shayla’s personal number (0151) will not be responded to in a timely manner.

If you don’t have our business number, please reach out and we’ll be happy to share it with you!

Along with our new business name, we are happy to announce we have a new website! Clients are encouraged to book pet sitting & check-in’s through our online forms. This will allow clients to provide detailed information for the care of their pets and/or property.

As we begin transitioning to our website, effective immediately, we will only be responding to Facebook messages Monday through Friday, unless the message is directly about times for meet & greets, drop off’s, pickup’s, or other services. Please allow up to three business days for a response, as we prioritize the pets in our care.

Reminders:

Facebook & Instagram story posts are not guaranteed.

We will reach out if any questions or concerns arise with a client’s pet or property. No news is good news!

If a client is late to the Paws Lodge by 10 minutes, we may not be present upon client arrival as we often need to tend to other responsibilities. For drop off’s, the client will be asked to leave their dog(s) in our waiting area. For pick-up’s, the dog(s) will be left in the waiting area for pickup.

One of our amazing clients, Guinness’s dad, Nick, built us a desk & gate for our new reception area! Clients visiting the Paws Lodge are welcome to enter through our lower front door to pickup or drop off their pups. Please remember to communicate to ensure our door is unlocked for you!

If clients are unsure of their arrival time or arrive outside of their scheduled time, the pups are also welcome to stay in our waiting area for pickup or drop off. Please communicate so we can have your pup in the waiting area for pickup before your arrival, or if you have dropped off your pup so we can let them upstairs as soon as possible.

Please bear with us as we slowly decorate and establish our reception area along with our new business name, Dogwoods LLC!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! If you look closely at our picture, you can see the steps to our new home and our new business name!

🐾Beginning in January, we will be changing our name to Dogwoods LLC. We will still offer the same services as we currently do, but with a more meaningful (and shorter!) name to us.

🐾We purchased a new home in Eagle River this past summer! We like to call it the Paws Lodge. We are happy to offer a larger home with a larger yard for our pet sitting clients. We appreciate every client, past and present, who have supported us in our journey over these past seven years. After house hunting for about three years, we finally found a property perfect for clients, along with our own pups, Raven (4), Champ (15), and Lucky (13). Raven and Lucky used to be clients of ours, but we were happy to permanently accept them into our family 🥰

As many of you know, my mom passed away a few years ago. Our home went onto the market on Mother’s Day, a day that I have found emotionally difficult. We learned there were six other offers on the home, and were told we were likely not a contender. On my mom’s birthday a few days later, we received the congratulations phone call. It felt meant to be 🤍

We look forward to all the memories to be created here in our new home 💕
